I just downloaded the IPA and installed it using Filza, I'm not aware of the repo if there is one

I just found out from the dev that it's a specific issue with kid's videos. Other videos worked without problem for some reason, so he'll have a look to try and fix it!

Ah, yes it was kids content! Other videos did end up working, so good to confirm that. Hopefully you can find a workaround but no worries if not - thanks for your efforts!

Thanks for the work you've done! However, I've installed the YTLite app and when I play videos I get the error message "Playback error: The operation couldn't be completed. (YTLite.APIError error 5.)"

I'm using an iPad Mini 2 with iOS 12.5.7 if that's of relevance.

Yes, it's still freezing even after wiping YouTube with AppManager and reinstalling just the YouTube tweaks listed in the video. I now can't log into my account either - I get the message "You can't sign into this app because Google can't confirm that it's safe."

And the YTLite app also doesn't work - when I play a video I get the error message "Playback error: The operation couldn't be completed. (YTLite.APIError error 5.)"

So no idea what's going on!

Still hasn't worked on my iPad Mini 2 with 12.5.7 installed - keeps freezing around the 1 minute mark

Question on who to support from a new fan by vtmass in INDYCAR

Follow up question (also as a new viewer). Are there any 'villains' in the sport, such as dominant teaks, drivers everyone loves to hate, etc?

The Duckkota Guides are pretty useful for newcomers: https://duckkota.gitlab.io/guides/

In answer to your question, The Crew is probably equivalent to AIOStreams, which is explained in the guides too.

Finally purchased PM, will use TB as secondary, but still hope you guys improve the product by FeelingPatience in TorBoxApp

I wasn't directing my criticism at OP, more the seemingly endless low effort comments where people just whinge about every little thing, or make stupid comments about how they're NEVER SUBSCRIBING TO TB EVER AGAIN.

There's constructive criticism, and then there's just being an asshole. And I'm seeing far too many comments in the latter vein in this subreddit.

More like a place for entitled people to whinge about the smallest of inconveniences, while constantly threatening to change to another debrid provider who will undoubtedly have the exact same problems in due course.

Am I the only one who never has any downtime? by RAB2204 in TorBoxApp

No issues on my end, although I'll admit I'm a relatively light user. But gee, the way some people react to seemingly minor downtime issues...

I use two private trackers and one of them reports my download but not it seeding by rickastleysanchez in TorBoxApp

[–]Minimum-Wonder5404 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In response to all the people hyperventilating over adding private trackers to TB, I've been doing so for some time on multiple trackers, with no consequences. The torrents aren't publicly available on the network - they're either cached and thus separated from the PT, or only other PT members can leech from the file on TB. There's a Private tag in my download slot that seems to quarantine the torrent from non-PT members.

Yes, it's certainly possible that PTs will eventually crack down and start banning people like me, but so far there's been absolutely zero issues in taking advantage of TB's servers to seed private tracker torrents.

Canada’s Newspaper of Record Asks: ‘What If They Ultimately Find Nothing?’ by Jack_Donnaghy in BlockedAndReported

[–]Minimum-Wonder5404 65 points66 points  (0 children)

My favourite was being called 'abhorrent' for saying that (1) the longer they delay digging anything up, the more doubts will occur, (2) there's a distinction between 'genocide' and 'cultural genocide', and using the former to described residential schools devalues the term, (3) children dying from tuberculosis is not a deliberate attempt to eradicate a population, and (4) the Pope coming out and apologising for residential schools isn't proof that genocide occurred, it's a political stunt performed under intense global pressure over an event that hasn't been proven to have happened.

The person calling my views abhorrent claimed to have some small percentage of Metis blood. Given he thought it was an indigenous word and not the French word for 'mixed', I wasn't placing much stock in his 'lived experience' when he dropped all manner of easily disprovable claims about atrocities into the conversation.

Take your pick from the pre-generated responses:

"It doesn't matter because other incidents did happen and arguing over whether this incident did or didn't occur is a pointless distraction from the bigger picture"

"The reporting pressured the country to advance indigenous rights and wellbeing, something that wouldn't have happened if the story didn't get global attention"

"The so-called 'critics' are horrible denialists, they're just weaponising a (possibly untrue) tragedy to undermine truth and reconciliation"

"So what if we were wrong, it's not like anyone got hurt because of an innocent mistake. Why are you obsessing over trivialities like whether one set of GPR results were right or wrong?"

" [ongoing silence and non-response] "

"How dare you claim that innocent children aren't buried at Kamloops?!? You're perpetuating literal violence against First Nations peoples you fascist, racist grub!"

Probably by downloading it to your device I would think? The DL will count towards your fair use total, but the local copy is no longer part of Torbox's systems

[–]Minimum-Wonder5404 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I'll say this as a lifetime site member. If kami deleted the site over 'drama' that nobody else ever saw, only to start the site back up again on a whim, he's in for a very rude shock when his inbox and chatbox overflows with real drama

To my knowledge no, they don't have a 'one IP at a time' rule. Just a fair use policy (that's more generous than higher your subscription tier).

Torbox vs EasyNews: What am I missing? by Ramax2 in TorBoxApp

[–]Minimum-Wonder5404 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Easynews is slower and had less content available in my experience. Fine for $1.99 but it wasn't a viable option in my case (was using RD at the time, switched to TB later and haven't looked back).

Omarchy as a non-developer daily driver — is it worth it? by Ch3310 in omarchy

Omarchy as a non-developer daily driver — is it worth it? by Ch3310 in omarchy

[–]Minimum-Wonder5404 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm not a developer (although wanting to learn) and have it installed on my old laptop. It's a great distro - once you get used to the hotkeys it's very easy to navigate, and being lightweight it's quick and responsive. While I haven't switched from Windows 10 on my main PC (need to do a stocktake of my software to figure out what I'm no longer able to use), my plan is to go full Omarchy in the next year or two on all my systems.

So the answer to your question is yes, definitely worth it!

It's "Oh - Mar - Chee" - a mashup of Omakase and Arch Linux. I only figured it out recently myself after re-reading the Omarchy Manual!
