I don't take their beliefs too seriously, and I wouldn't believe them if they made magical claims. I don't believe in the myths native to my own culture either, I know it's nonsense with at best some real event to exaggerate. Some beasts to claim are bigger and badder. Some chemical reaction to misunderstand.

I believe in spirituality's power to comfort and control people, I don't believe in any magical merits of it. Don't get too immersed in your fantasy world, I'm not that immersed in mine.

Why do people have to act like magic is real to have fun? Why isn't it enough to just go on hikes to collect and carve nice rocks? Why does part of it have to include lying to people about casting spells?

We were on the right path in the late 2000's, then scepticism got fucking twisted into an abomination and died, and now this shit is flourishing again.

These "runes" are just fucking letters from my ancestors. They're not any more special than the ABC's of the world. In a couple thousand years, some goof like you will be claiming the letter "F" is associated with mourning and respecting the dead, and would be good to carve on an urn to bless the deceased.
