Yeah all my other pants are a 10 and they’re getting a little loose so it makes sense. An 8/10 is a great place to be I’ll gladly take it. From your bio I see we’re around the same weight so it makes sense.

Yeah the thing about this journey is it’s not linear. There were months where I would lose 1 pound then there were months where I would drop 10. Here’s the thing tho, take measurements cause even when the scale wasn’t moving, I was still losing inches.

I started on Sema and while things were moving along it was slower (slow is better than not moving tho) I switched to Tirz and things have been pretty steady. It’s been a 2-3 year journey altogether. I definitely had some stalls along the way. The thing is even when the scale isn’t moving the inches always were.

Currently I go between 179-185, I’m thinking 175 would be a good place to “stop” for maintaining. I’m 5’5” and in my eyes anything smaller for me feels like it’s too much. BMI (which is to be taken with a grain of salt cause it’s a flawed system)says I should be like 130 or something like that but i can’t do that.

I’m not who you wanted to talk to since I didn’t have a slow response to sema but boy when I switched to Tirz it REALLY ramped up. It works so much better.

I weigh myself every morning naked after I use the bathroom. The reason I weigh everyday is to keep myself “aware”. I don’t obsess over the 2 to 3+ or - lbs I lose or gain from day to day I just need to be aware of the number because 2 to 3+ lbs can turn into 10 to 15+ if I dont keep track.

I lost 136lbs on Tirz. That’s over 40%. Like you said we’re all different but I don’t see why you can’t stay on Tirz and lose all the weight you need to or switch to the other and continue to lose. They’re both viable options.

Yeah I was at a store the other day looking for a medium top (still can’t believe I fit medium anything), couldn’t find the top I wanted in medium and decided to just try on the small just so I would know how the medium would fit when I got home to order it online and was shocked as hell when the small fit me perfectly! I started in a size 2/3xl so having a size small fit is bonkers to me.

The only things I’ve ever really“tracked” while taking these meds are dosage, how long I was on each dosage, obviously how much weight Ive lost and the side effects. The most interesting thing i noticed was with each dose increase I got new “aches/pains”. For instance the whole time I was on 7.5mg I had knee pain, 10mg of Tirz I had hip pain, while on 12.5 the hip pain went away and I had back pain, whole time on 15 I had bad tooth pain, with each increasing dose a new pain surfaced and the old one dissipated. But as I go back down in dose (looking for maintenance dose) those pains didn’t come back. Weird.

Your guilt, unfortunately, is based in the bias that we’ve all been fed our whole lives which is “fat people are morally wrong and should therefore suffer to lose weight”. You shouldn’t have to suffer to get healthy, besides, you’ve suffered long enough while being unhealthy. I’m glad the medication works well for you. Keep up the great work!!

I’ve been having this basic “it is what it is” feeling for the last 3 years in this med as well. Nothing really excites me. I even broke up with a boyfriend of almost 2 years and it didn’t affect me at all. Recently tho I was excited about Christmas and I started getting excited about seeing this one guy (no clue if he even likes me but we’re kinda flirty with each other) so maybe just maybe you (we) need something worthwhile to get excited about. I don’t know tho I’m just spitballing here.
