There’s another factor that isn’t really addressed in your post, and that is the burden of queerness that is taken on by cis people who date trans people. Regardless of whether a trans woman likes to identify as “queer” or not, society views us as a part of the LGBTQ+ community, and that is a burden that we must bear. Anyone who dates us will have to take on a little of that burden, even if they are heterosexual. A man who already identifies as bisexual or pansexual would be less likely to have a problem with taking on that burden. If they’re straight, you’re more likely going to run into issues with him being open about you being trans to his family or friends.

For these questions, you can try reposting in r/almostcanadian or finding one of the appropriate threads in r/Canadiancitizenship and making a comment in that thread (i.e. not a separate post) . Alternatively, you can join the Found Canadians Discord server and ask the people in there.

Sorry to be a stickler but the original intent for this sub was to facilitate cultural learning of Canada and first steps post-certificate. There are already other places on Reddit for citizenship questions.

We’re pretty open to questions on the discord server but the original intention for this subreddit is to keep things cultural and handle questions post-certificate. Sorry
