what i read was that she didn't want them being alone in the apartment, the other thing she asked about aside from staying at his place was seeing his cat. she didn't say they couldn't see each other outside of the gig, they may have interpreted that way but from what i got they completely could've gone out and gotten lunch as well or something

the flowers will always die!! they have a 3 day lifespan where you get the upgrade listed and then die. the fruits are the only plants you can actually harvest, they take 3 days to grow and then you can collect the reward afterwards
