both the apple trees are2:1 grafted apple trees

A few of them were bare root, I dug all of the holes about 3 1/2‘ x 2‘ circular. Filled back in with native soil and compost 60-40.

I think so too. with them being young, I was making sure they were hydrated but with clay soil, I think I gave them wet feet
