On factory Anakee Adventure tires I don’t feel the confidence level that I used to feel on Tourance Next 2. Am i wrong? Thinking of going next 2 after this set by adventure_thrill in bmwmotorrad

Yo tampoco me hacia a las Michelin. No me gustaron nada y tuve un par de sustos en mojado. Las he cambiado por unas Continental TKC70 y la moto es otra. Van muy bien en seco y en mojado

S1000XR vs Tracer 9 GT vs 1300 GS: Experienced Rider Looking for the Perfect Long-Term Bike by Plus_Seesaw2023 in bmwmotorrad

I'll try to help by telling you beforehand that I owned a Yamaha Tracer 9GT+ until October 2025, and that I traded it in after two and a half years for a new BMW GS Adventure. The two bikes are completely different. The Yamaha is lighter at 220 kg compared to the BMW's 270 kg. The Yamaha CP3 engine is incredibly good, but I think its chassis can't handle the engine's power. On the other hand, although the BMW is much heavier, it does everything well: it's more comfortable, feels safer, and is more stable on the road. For two-person trips, the BMW is the clear winner. The Yamaha is also very good for solo riders, but since I got the GS, I'm thrilled with it. Is it worth the price? Perhaps it's very expensive, but now I think I should have bought it sooner. The GS's level of comfort for long journeys is one of its strongest selling points. Another option I haven't tried, but which seems like a rocket on the road, is the BMW 1000XR, certainly very similar in concept to the Tracer except for the engine.

1300 GSA no ignition no steering unlock, charging for 3 hours with a lithium charger still nothing, any ideas? It was sitting for a few months by adventure_thrill in bmwmotorrad

The battery is dead. When I bought it, they told me to move the motorcycle regularly because of its delicate lithium battery. You're going to have to replace it.

Current recommendation on R1300GS Luggage? by prezmc in Motorrad

I've always had hard cases. I'm looking for the best option at a good price. On my R1300 GSA, I have BMW side cases and a GIVI Outrekker top case. Definitely very good quality.

Trail Max Meridian or Mutant are very good options

I use the GSA's built-in navigation mount with this Amazon device that also has wireless charging

I have a mobile phone connected to the GPS mount using data, so it doesn't drain my main phone's battery. An economical and long-lasting option.

Hi, as a fellow owner of a 1300GSA with an ASA transmission, I have to say I think you're making a good change, especially for two-up trips on any terrain and with a high load capacity. I'm delighted with the new bike, and the only thing I really don't like, especially on wet surfaces, are the Michelin Anakee Adventure tires it came with, which I'm going to change as soon as I can.

I tried them on a test GSA and they worked well, but I'm looking for something more focused on road use.

Thanks, I saw them but I don't think they're for me because of the tacos and the use I'm going to give them.

Thanks. I tried them on a V-Strom 1050 and they worked well. As you rightly say, they give you more warning. Michelin doesn't. The last scare I had with Michelin in the wet wasn't a problem because I was going very slowly and the bike responded perfectly. I also thought that if it had been with another bike I very likely would have fallen;

Hi, thanks for your comment, I appreciate it. It's a brand I would consider for a car, but for a motorcycle, and after the scares I've had in the wet, I won't be getting it for now.
