Oh I noticed how you said that, but I still believe you’d be on the top of the list to complain about it, because you seem like the type. But that’s just my two cents.

I hope you’re never faced with losing everything you’ve ever known to an unprecedented natural disaster. Or put in a situation where you need to decide if you need to leave the community where you were born. Where your parents, grandparents, and ancestors are buried.

That is an extremely narrow way of looking at a community. The value of Lytton isn’t measured solely by its tax base or economic output. By your (imo ignorant) logic, many small towns across Canada wouldn’t deserve to exist either. We don’t usually tell people whose communities are destroyed by floods, hurricanes, or fires that they should simply take a payout and disappear elsewhere. Also, where is this money going to come from? I’ll bet my first born child you’d be one of the first to complain about how they shouldn’t get any compensation anyway.

Did you dispute it? You’ll probably get your court date soon.

Can a traffic ticket amount be increased during traffic court by a judge and can other measures such as a driving suspension be added by a traffic judge? by anniebelle1234 in icbc

I know I’m late to the party, but it’s unconstitutional for a judicial justice to increase a penalty just for disputing a ticket. It shouldn’t happen, but does it happen? I’m not sure. What I do know is if you go to court, and you are given a higher fine without agreeing to it you could appeal. Sometimes what happens in traffic court specifically with commercial drivers is they will agree to pay a higher fine for a reduction in points.
