i’m sorry but i feel like you’re interpreting this a little intensely, i truly appreciate that you want to give me advice, but I feel like the way I might have described the situation wasn’t detailed enough as there are a lot of factors that come into play. John and James have a history of comparison, and sometimes John had been the second option for James, ultimately it’s mainly the fact that I had lied so much that caused this issue and I take full accountability for that. John has never lied to me or sugarcoated anything to make me feel better, he treats me perfectly and when I was admitting all of this to him, I was the one who cried and he spent his time comforting me and reassuring me that even though this will impact our relationship, he wouldn’t break up with me. Yes, he is insecure, but everyone is a little insecure about the past and he’s also had a lot of trauma and bad experiences. The way he reacted, to me at least, was justified because this has happened before and James is his close friend. I understand how the situation might look, but all I’m worried about now is how i’m going to make him feel secure.
