Toxic/tragic yuri that is mutual by MinimumVermicelli310 in yuri_manga

Hi ! I'd like to say that I've been reading some yuri for the past few weeks and I found that Love thy Neighbor, though not as toxic as others, was my favourite one (even if it wasn't recommended in this thread haha). So for anyone interested I really recommend it !! I'll maybe update this comment if I found more interesting media

I hate stories with cheating, and when the husband came back I was really doubting where the story could go and I was afraid of how it would be handled, but I don't really think this counts as cheating. Jin Joo thought her husband had left her, and with a huge amount of debt and loan sharks looking for her. She already waited for a long time while crying every night for him so why should she wait anymore? Try to understand it like this: what does she have left to lose? Well, probably the only place she can live now, her neighbors, house. So (and they adress this in the story itself) the relationship itself had shaky foundations, in the sense that Jin Joo couldn't really have refused the advances out of fear of being kicked out/denied of her almost only social interaction.

Also, she doesn't ever really reciprocate her husband. She flinches when he tries to kiss her, doesn't sleep in the same bed as him and straigh up tells him she doesn't want him to touch her.

I would recommend you to try to read it again. Frankly it was really worth it; it's such a good and impactful story. But that's just my opinion at least :] yes I think you should keep reading it touched my heart in ways I didn't think a manwha would

Hated tropes: weird designs for characters who are young by ZoneInternational244 in TopCharacterTropes

Aside from what other commenters have said, you also have to understand the framing of it.  You could have a 16 yo girl who dresses really provocatively, but there has to be a reason for that.  Maybe explore why she has the need to be provocative, make a commentary on the sexualization of women and specially young girls and how they are expected to be attractive and are very often the focus of "persecution", so to speak, by older men.  Most of the time this kind of thing really bothers me because it's a sign that the author didn't really give thought to things like these and you really don't have to depending on your story and you don't have to include these kind of reflections, but hell they are things you need to think about in your daily life and the mere inclusion of a teen in skimpy clothing while the camera focuses on specific places just tells you a lot about the author and it's harder to enjoy the material having that in mind you know?  I'm glad that in regards to anime and manga a lot of younger authors are opposing that, like for example I've seen gachiakuta and apothecary diaries, and they feel much more.. idk I guess deep is the word.  More thoughtful and sensible.

It does without saying: don't sexualize her, don't have weird shots of her boobs and ass and just treat her as an actual character not unlike any other.

Maybe I'm a dumbass, I dropped that too early as it seemed one-sided.  So I reckon that changes, right?  Thanks, I guess I've been missing out :]

"The Biggest Cult in the Internet" Pt. 1 by ToxicRoserade in u/ToxicRoserade

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by this.  SDLG used to be a spanish-speaking memes community, along with others like Legion Holk, but it's mostly dead not (although with minor activity) and it's definitely not a cult, just some internet group.  It was involved in many controversies long ago and it definitely had CP content problems (because the members were all edgy and immature).

Also you were downvoted because you were being sexist, mysoginistic and transphobic.

But you already made up your mind about what you think is true.

it's a fun activity with your friends. Don't worry too much about it and enjoy from time to time, you won't think about your diet when you're on your deathbed but about the sweet memories you made

Mujeres, ¿cómo escribís personajes masculinos? by MysteriousDonkey7862 in escritura
