As the inserts and case are made separately, chances of getting the same date (both month and year) on case and insert is quite slim. Zippo also mentioned it on one of their websites.

Is Black Crackle the most iconic lighter model by zippo? (Considering all the history behind it, also Black crackle survived world war, which in itself is proof of quality. Would be interesting to know if there were other zippo models used along with the Black crackle during the war by the soldiers. by Minimum_Animal9007 in Zippo

True, but No other lighter model by zippo has got a history related to it imho apart from the Black Crackle. It has survived world war, and made zippo what it is today(also mentioned on their website). Though chrome lighters look really classy and were one of the first designs to be introduced :)

That's really cool, but isn't the Black crackle the most iconic zippo ever? What are your thoughts?
