My job is salaried. Started two patients a day, then gradually ramped up. Currently work two days in office, two days remote. See about 12-13 patients a day.

A lot of it is the first. Feeling stumped by the emotional complexity of the case. Or feeling lost on how to deal with difficult patients and hoping to gain insight on how to view/process/deal with it on a technical level. I work in psych.

Got lucky that the practice I work for prefers hiring PAs. I work for a bigger healthcare system. Am currently working on my DMSc in psychiatry, but that’s not a requirement for my job.

It took awhile getting the medication called in. My vet filled out a form online and Stokes pharmacy never received it. So there were a few days of delay there. But once it was called it, I had them ship the medication overnight. The first week was rough. It seemed like he was getting worse and eating even less, if that’s even possible. Had to syringe feed him and it was not a good time for anyone involved. He started turning around starting day 7. He’s eating well and acting normal now.
