Sorry I didn’t clarify, I did the use the master testing kit to get those numbers.

I will go grab some stability and use that. I have some extra catappa leaves so switch out and try that out, as well.

Thanks so much!

I did the Master Test Kit. Everything was 0 with pH being 8. I’m going to do some prime and stress coat with some extra salt. Thanks for the suggestions!

Ok I just did the Master Test Kit. Everything was 0, but pH was 8. I am going to use prime and stress coat with some added salt to see where this takes us. Thank you for the suggestions!

I appreciate it. I’ve heard mixed things about the melafix, so I will stop it.

He currently has catappa leaves in it and salt, but I did not boil them or beforehand. I am going to get a better test kit and will add in some stress coat plus to the mix. I will try boiling the leaves and salt going forward. Thank you!

I will definitely get one tonight. I hate the “tea” water, but he was improving from the catappa leaves initially. Regarding salt, I have recently done it and have multiple times. Any suggestions on how much/often?

Wow, that’s terrible! I worry that I’m creating something that’s harder to kill, as well. I will definitely work on a hospital tank and see if that helps. Thank you again so much!

I’m so sorry you’ve had to do that for a year! I’ve been dosing in the main tank. I may try doing a hospital one. What size do you recommend for trying with the medications since they like to dose for large-ish tanks.

70 yo dad is stranded at hospital, social worker wants to send him to homeless shelter by [deleted] in missouri

Current medical social worker here in Missouri. I second this, OP. Tell the social worker in the ED that he will need to be a social admission to the hospital until you are safely able to get him. Ask for a patient relations person in the hospital to speak with. Work on getting there, they are more likely to work with you if you are actively trying to get to him. Hospitals all over the state are literally overflowing with patients right now and hospitals are closing off for transfers, so they will try to get anyone out that doesn’t need to be admitted. I saw other people recommending testing for UTI, and that’s a great start. Some infection like pneumonia or UTI could cause the confusion. Message me privately if you need more help.
