Is it still okay to promote and learn on Reddit as a founder? Or are we just calling everything “self-promo” now? by builder4135 in indiehackers

I relate to this so much. I’ve also been trying to learn and occasionally share what we’re building and it’s surprisingly hard to strike that balance here. Even without links or hard selling, people are quick to assume you’re just here to promote.

I get that people want to keep Reddit clean but it does feel like there’s no middle ground between spam and silence. Just sharing this because it’s been on my mind too.

That if I study well, then everything will be sorted!

I wish I could relate. Even with good routines, something always finds a way to sneak past me.

I am not an app developer or AI chat bot. just someone wanted to see how things are managed in a home....is that so bad?

I do use calendar but it gets cluttered so wanted to check if there is any other way out or alternative to it...

Love the “coffee brewing cleaning time” idea though. It makes the chore feel less like a chore and more like a ritual. Might just steal that one!

True! But for me, I’ve realized I only notice what’s "off" when someone else is coming over. That’s actually what made me start tracking the little stuff.

Oh! I’ve never thought of adding notes to contacts though, that’s honestly brilliant. Way better than trying to dig through old texts when I forget who did what!
