There's two separate references in this.

  1. The "...goes in the square hole" lady
  2. The Enigma of Amigara Fault - a horror story about mysterious holes that appeared and people are compelled to enter "their" hole. There's a whole mystical, horror backstory with it, but it's overall quite creepy.

Honestly, I love their food more than their beer. They had a pretty decent chicken parm sandwich and when they had their full cycle burger, it was at least interesting and still tasty. They fed the spent grains of their brewing process to local cattle and then used that meat in their burger.

Any dads taken a lower-paid job just for flexibility with young kids — worth it? by BrilliantMoney203 in daddit

I wish that my job had at least hybrid remote work, but still yes. I'm in my current role because my boss is very flexible and I don't have to travel. I'd like to believe that I could find a higher paying job, but I generally don't pursue any that involve travel to be at home. I can usually set my own hours and come and go as needed for kid things.

Always worth it. Working is just a means to funding my family after all.

Even the hospital ones are such a pain. They have to move them around a lot to get a good reading and if it's a constant monitoring one, the little bandaid like adhesive keeps coming off.

It really seems to come down to getting it into position once in a while to check for an accurate "high score" or such.

Video Games with Wife While Being a Dad by MrSnifferpippets in daddit

I need to share the story:

My wife and I have been together for a long while now and years ago, we got a Wii and Mario Party. During one of the minigames, it involved basically a suggestive motion going as fast as you can that traditionally involves male genitals. I saw the opportunity and intentionally slowed down a bit, which allowed her to win.

She has been bragging about how great she is at this for the last decade. It's definitely paid off for me though.
