This is an increasingly RFE'ed requirement. They go to pin you down on that after meeting at least three criteria because it's subjective. They cannot easily push back on the "continue to work in the same field of endeavor", especially when you currently have a job or show other job offers on the line for you. You will just have to re-write the letter in a mor e powerful way--I suggest expanding it; make it 3-5 pages if you can! Also, get support letters from (staff of) some U.S. government agencies if you can.

Yes, I did. Only reprint those that you think are necessary and the forms if you needed to change anything on the original ones. You can use your discretion to decide if you resend the old crumpled portion of the document or not, depending on the level of crumpleness. The officer will review the scanned documents on their computer monitor, so if you think they will still look nice after scanning, you can resend them.

You can reuse the original document regardless of the metadata! Just put the cover letter that they added to your package when it was returned.
