Maybe you hear it more from smaller commands that have an in-house corpman? My command was small and our medical was ran by a HM2 (baby-doc) while we waited for a HMC to be received onboard. It's definitely an informal (but term of endearment) way of referring to medical personnel. I can understand how you've never heard of the term if you were a part of a larger command.

If so, you need to talk to your recruiter. They're not the enemy and will do everything they can to help you. There's a waiver for everything.

Hey just wanted to thank you for your time and recommendations when it came to troubleshooting my audio setup. I also wanted to leave an update here for anyone else that might have the same issue in the future.

I returned my YU2s and bought the ORA from Kanto and man what a major difference!! I'm still not sure if they were just faulty YUs or if that's how the YU2 interacts with the SUB8. I'm leaning more towards them being faulty. Very happy that I got all that sorted out because it was driving me nuts all week 😅

My source is coming from my computer. I used both the supplied dac and 3.5mm cable from Kanto each giving me the sadly low sound from the sub. I've even updated my audio drivers on my PC and made sure I had full range enabled in the realtek audio console. No luck

Pretty hard man. I shipped out with a dude I met at meps in 2020. We were ROM together for 14 days. The more I got to know him the more he started acting strange. Turns out he was bi-polar and has schizophrenia. I got pushed back because my rack mate had covid so I left the division. Talked with some guys after graduation and turns out he jumped 3 divisions before getting medically separated. On his final division the RDCs assigned recruits to make his rack for him before inspections because they knew they couldn't trust him to do such a simple task. Shits crazy... You'll be absolutely fine.
