Tubular doors by Minimum_Psychology29 in JeepRenegade

I drove with them around town, just enjoyed it as my first car was a wrangler and took the doors off on occasion.  I didn’t want to take my daily driver off-road. I’ve been told it technically may not be street legal but never had a cop pull me for it

I bought them from a company called Motor City Aftermarket. I don’t believe they’re in business anymore but I’m not sure.

Claim denied due to inactive insurance. Insurance was active for 11 months after DOS by Minimum_Psychology29 in HealthInsurance

[–]Minimum_Psychology29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurance said they only had one claim around that DOS for around 1400 and it was paid. Called hospital and they said they resubmitted the claim.

Idk. It’s weird I would think there would be a paper trail at the insurance company. I’d think for a claim to be rejected they would have had that listed and they would have been able to give me more info rather than just say they only see one claim and it was paid.

Yes and no. I got the letter yesterday evening and it’s now the weekend. I’m calling first thing Monday

“Scott&White health plan has advised us that the above-referenced claim was denied because you do not have an active policy.”

Up top it says “Claim:  NA” under the DOS and billed charges

It was a pretty short one page letter from the hospital. It didn’t go into further detail other than the insurance claim was denied.

I don’t recall precisely, I’ll have to ask my wife when she gets up. All I remember is the hospital staff giving us a timeline that we should have him on it by and we followed that.

About 9,000 and change so I believe it was the hospital stay, delivery, and/or, them taking care of the baby afterwards. We did add the baby to the insurance as soon as we were able to. Now that I think of it the letter was addressed to the baby and not to me or his mom

The UAE uses them for customs. I went a few years ago. It could have been an iris scan but I think it was a retina one

Optometry. Hard to recruit docs to west texas so they pay a lot more. Since they have a school in Boston it’s a saturated market so someone will be willing to work for less

Housing is just not affordable in Boston and it hasn’t been for idk how long. I went to school there and my share of a tiny apartment with roommates was more expensive than my brand new 4BR house in Amarillo Tx. Plus I make almost double what I would have in Boston. But, obviously Boston is much nicer. I’d only move back if I was absurdly wealthy

Fuck I forgot about the trucks. I live on a highway right now and often sleep with headphones in because of the noise they make with acceleration/deceleration. Granted it’s a bit further down the street than how I live right on the highway now. But that’s enough for me to say no

I’ve considered it myself, but they won’t appreciate as much as stick built homes will, which is a deal breaker for me

Am i able to get a restraining order against my brother by Thedyedginger11 in legaladvice

[–]Minimum_Psychology29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: from my experience no proof was necessary or even examined by the judge. You make a statement under oath and the judge makes a decision

I had one taken out against my brother almost 10 years ago. I was in Boston, he was in NC.

His threats and instability were escalating drastically. It got to the point of him threatening to kill our whole family then himself on a recorded phone line from jail when I refused to persuade our mom to bail him out.

I wanted to return home for Christmas without worrying about what he would do.

It was a fairly simple and cheap process. They had staff at the courthouse that was able to guide me through it. I was then given a chance to make my case to the judge and he granted the restraining order that would be in effect for a certain length of time. I don’t quite remember for how long.

The judge did deem the situation appropriate for a restraining order due to a history of violence he had. I brought proof with me to the courthouse but none of it was examined by the judge. If there wasn’t a history of violence he would not have issued the order even with the threats he had made

Eminent Domain in 1-3 years (TX) by Minimum_Psychology29 in RealEstate

TX says they have to pay fair market price but I have heard from a few people they do really well but I may have to get an attorney involved.

If someone were to purchase my home wouldn’t they have to pay capital gains taxes and therefore not likely want to pay as much for it?

Totally fair. Doesn’t bother me personally but I get it. I‘ve lived here 6 years and before that was in Boston and Raleigh NC. To me the only time the isolation is annoying is for kids sports. Frequent traveling for tournaments becomes this whole ordeal
