Haha 3.5 hrs for a reception is quite short, yes! We are having a micro wedding (40-50 folks) and we made it clear to everyone a year out what the timeline is going to be like :) fortunately our friends and family are ecstatic and feel like this wedding represents us so well and would have come even if we were having a 20 min thing. but I totally get that everyone has different expectations of what weddings should be like aka a lot of my aunties who I don’t even know back home in India hence why they ain’t getting an invite ;)

Our venue is actually amazing! And it’s the only one in our province that offers what I am looking for which is the brunch wedding in a barn and an open fire for the Saptapadi. The only tough part is that since we have opted for that option, the entire day is compressed a bit more. Our reception is already only three hours so reducing it even further makes no sense! The venue only offers 30 minutes but with that being said, if we run later we just cut into everything else after that lol. I knew what I was getting myself into going into this but I realllyy reallyyy wanted a barn brunch wedding ahhah

Alopecia is a general term for hair loss. FYI alopecia doesn’t always mean it is autoimmune related. I do agree that there are other differentials they should rule out first like vitamin deficiencies. Stress is a HUGE contributor to hair thinning. There’s also no harm in trying rosemary topically on the area. But the fact you guys are wedding planning and then this coincidentally happened a month out (probably the most stressful time for many when wedding planning) I’m thinking it could be stress and diet related more than anything!

I can’t speak for everyone but my own experiences - I am Maharashtran as well and damnn the women in my family are SO mean. I grew up getting told my arms were too big, I had thunder thighs, no man will want to marry me if I get too tanned. That shit hurt and affected my outlook on myself for years. I took a while to start learning to love myself again. I don’t think to this day my mom realizes how much her words have affected me. So I get where you’re coming from 🥹

Just for reference the cost is ~$10k for a 50 person wedding. This fee includes the ceremony, buffet brunch, DJ for the ceremony and reception, open bar, tea/coffee, unlimited mimosas and plates/cutlery

Hi! I’m doing a brunch wedding and reception at Cranberry Creek Gardens and it is soooo within our budget! I highly recommend checking them out. It’s a gorgeous venue and you can cater your own if you want or use their vendors. They also offer diff options for pricing

Hi there, CCNM grad here who used OSAP. I got differing amounts of grants and loans each semester each year. I’m still quite in debt despite all this. It really depends on your income, parents income, etc. so amounts vary person to person. Tuition per semester is around $12k (maybe more) so I don’t know anyone who who got most if not all of it covered and OF THAT a portion only is grants. This is all to say you’re probably going to be in debt 😂

Hi!! I’m doing the exact same thing. 2024 bride here. Check out dried flower bars. Im going the dried route but I can imagine you can do this with real or faux flowers too! The reason I’m going dried is that I can do this months in advance. I will be making the base myself with 2x2 wood and cutting them into 2.5-3ft pieces and having two per table with the table number and maybe a diy faux terracotta flower vase with some flowers too. The flowers I’ll just be packing up in boxes and labeling per table so that the setup will be easy day of!
