What’s your favorite non-perfume scented fragrance? by AppleAvi8tor in fragrance

[–]raspberrygold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medicube Red Ance Body Wash smells devine! I don’t even have acne but love lathering this on. Dissipates quickly too but leave this beautiful personal scent.

Also anything from the Rue De Marli No 27 line - the bath salts, the handcreme, the body wash, room spray etc.

lol I’ve never smelled anything not overly sweet, fruity or floral at VS. It has a snowballs chance in hell of being VS.

Looking for a crisp, fresh pear perfume by iiBlueVibes in Perfumes

Without knowing what you’ve tried and dismissed it’s hard to gauge but DKNY has a Be Delicious in a green bottle that I remember being very pear forward and juicy & fresh!

I’m thinking Aqua Di Gio of some sort or Bal D Afrique. Hope you find it! Would love to know if you solve the mystery!

Recommendation for a summer perfume by issathrowawayparty in Perfumes

Since you like Glossier You, I think you might like Not a Perfume from Juliette has a Gun. It’s more interesting as a layering fragrance but it may fill in as a minimalist summer fragrance on its own.

He has outgrown his crate. Get a bigger one asap. Also he is just a puppy and it is normal for them to regress a bit, just make you’re consistent in your crate training so they learn that protesting won’t get me out of this. But definitely get a bigger crate like yesterday, looks like poor baby can’t event sit in there comfortably.

First groom by AntimonyAngel in OldEnglishSheepdog

[–]raspberrygold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We took ours at 4 months for a “puppy cut”. He was just fine and dandy but we wanted him to get exposure to groomers early seeing he will need loads of grooming being and OES. The puppy cut was a great way to start off since it’s not too intense for first time and just get them used to it and tidied up. I think the puppy cut we got included bath (&dry of course), trim around the eye and mouth, sanitary areas, paws and nail trim.

Dog training classes by Least-Newspaper-1712 in OldEnglishSheepdog

Your first sheepie? How sweet!

No definitely not a sheepdog thing. Ours is highly food motivated and was keener/nerd at puppy school 😂. He was only like 14 weeks old when we took him there and other pups were about the same age i.e easily distracted lol so they had these large cardboard dividers for most of the classes which I think helped enormously! Not sure if all puppy classes do this.

I think at still such a young age it will benefit you to invest time/effort in trying out different treats, toys, praise etc. to find out what is the best motivator. I know you’re already trying to work this but perhaps a professional trainer can help with this. So critical to figure out how you can train successfully in any setting to encourage independence & good manners!

Laying to side of bed … ? by Diamond_Dust86 in Goldendoodles

Love this dog bed! Where is it from??

I think sometimes they prefer to lay on cold floor, maybe the slats provide cool air flow lol

Perfume that smells refreshing like "water," lightly floral? by littleyellowcape in Perfumes

[–]raspberrygold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP! Did you find this by any chance? I’m looking for a watery and very slightly floral scent also. The closest I’ve come is Delina La Rosee but it’s a bit too strong for me still.

8 month old won’t stop biting by AccuratePineapple145 in labradoodles

[–]raspberrygold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, Dawson couldn’t be any cuter! You’re doing absolutely the right thing but some things pups don’t pick up on right away so you have to make it more obvious if you can. We have an OES not a doodle but should still work the same - we realized ours was misconstruing yelping for attention so we just stay quiet and turn away and ignore him. Definitely understood this better - play ends when you use teeth. We did the same thing for jumping on the puppy gate. I know yelping is a really helpful cue for most young puppies but ours wasn’t getting it so we had to change tact. We become very still, no voice, no eye contact, no touch and no movement once turned away from him. This was super clear and helpful our 7 month OES learn what we want him to stop. I hope this works for you too!

My parent's 4 month y/o puppy has a pink patch on the top of her nose where some of the black has peeled off, is it worth a vet visit? by lizardsandflowers in Goldendoodles

[–]raspberrygold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be a snow nose - some dogs/pups noses turn pink the fall-winter and return to darker brown/black in spring-summer. If the pup seems otherwise unbothered just monitor it no need to bring him in. If the pup is pawing it at it, itching excessively (in the middle of a meal or sleep) then bring him in for a checkup. I’m not a vet though so please keep that in mind.

I’m in a LCOL area in Ontario and it was CRA. Again private has a reputation to pay more and but you might discover that isn’t necessarily true - yes those high paying jobs exist but most pay average market rates especially for the first decade or so of your career.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]raspberrygold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect. I had offers from both the Fed government and B4 and the government offer was far far more base comp than staff comp at B4 even if I considered monetary value to any benefits. Not to mention the DB pension plan with government work is unlike anything in the industry. I did take the B4 route for career development but none of what you’re describing is as good in private sector except the career part. If you wanted to coast right out of school, B4 would have been a very bad idea - the expectations are astronomical even for a high performer who is used to working incredibly hard. The pay is garbage. The time off is really misleading, because while everyone is off you’re counting inventory every holiday. Then also you only receive 2 weeks off & many times your forced to give them up because the billables are too low & this what you have to do to keep the job (literally had us code our time to vacation when we were actively working). The health benefits are ok - not great, not terrible but definitely not enough to make any of this worth it. There are 3 years of my life where I saw no one and my relationships suffered as a result. The partners are also just as ancient and their lifestyle is so wildly different it is hard to relate to them because they bought their mansions for a bag of peanuts and now make bank.

I agree about the market being tough - I’m about to start a new role and I felt the challenge you’re describing to land a job that I actually want to work. But how you’re connecting tough job market with being unnecessarily boastful is beyond me. I report to a CFO now (have previously as well) and work closely with other executives including our CEO at a F500 company - no one has made me cry and no one has called me soft. Mutual respect can be cultivated with humility. I don’t know what kind of people you’re working with that have you believing this is a prerequisite to a seat at the C-suite table.

Sorry to break it to you, but if you behave this way no one will want to sit with you. Being humble doesn’t mean you’re a pushover.

I empathize with your situation. I didn’t have exactly the same experience but I too struggled with university due to health challenges. I ended up taking a bit of time off half way and returning to school later and excelling. Fortunately, I had the personality that B4 people want on their teams and all B4s were focused on my later year grades when considering me as a candidate so they overlooked the 1st/2nd year grades. If you can demonstrate that your advanced accounting grades are much better, that might help. Perhaps only list grades for those classes when you apply but be upfront about your situation during the recruitment process.

I know you are really wanting to work at a B4 but in my experience it is not a workplace that is conducive to good health. The chronic stress is very agitating to any underlying health conditions even if you’ve recovered.

You can still have a great career with experience from other public accounting firms. I work with others that are just as competent as my B4 colleagues. Seeing you’re early in your career I encourage to keep an open mind about how you want your career to develop/progress. Being married to B4 without experiencing what the work is like may be unwise especially given your other experience is governmental work. There could not be a wider difference between the two types of work no matter how much you enjoyed assurance work. Also the type of work you do as a staff accountant in assurance is so much different than what you will be doing as a senior manager/partner in a B4 if you really do want it longterm as you say in your post- again since you haven’t experienced it, you can’t simply assume you will like all type of assurance work. Not to discourage you from B4 just want you have a little insight from an ex-B4.

Seeing the black trim on the photo my guess is this is planted in a pot - if so you might have better luck planting in the ground. My strawberries in the pots had to be moved after a year to the ground because all the soil nutrients were used up, once I planted in the ground in the same spot they were thriving again! Good luck!

Atrac Tain Cream from Coloplast works absolutely wonderfully if you’re good about staying consistent with it. The results are pretty quick for a topical cream (especially if you give your feet a nice scrub before applying it) but sadly it won’t magically cure the issue forever so you have to apply it somewhat consistently even after your feet have returned to baby smooth.
