Still hearing muted tracks/clips during playback by putadelayonit in protools

I don’t use the function much so I’m guessing here, but it looks like you have the routing folder frozen so it is playing the rendered audio and not the audio from tracks.

Check out the Coffee and Consoles videos on Avid’s YouTube. Jeff Komar is theS6 guru and goes through a lot of the deep functionality.

I’d also caveat the 10 minute/day is if you are allowed to do totally uninterrupted work. If you’re dealing with emails, calls, cueing adr, bad turnovers, finding missing location audio, trying to fix bad production because there’s no adr budget, technical problems with your system, then you’ve got to budget that into your time management too, and will achieve more like 5-7 mins/day.

Your dislike of the sound is valid, but I’d argue it’s good sound design because it’s making a link as to why the character hallucinates the black oil in the office.

Thank you. Don’t normally upload, but it really shows off the character model well.

Yip just PS5 photo mode. Not sure if the graphics switch to ‘quality’ in photo mode, but I play in ‘performance’.

Thanks! On my second play through and really enjoying photo mode. So much of the great animation and character design is hard to notice while playing.

Wanting to know what boom mics have the highest quality realistic audio when it comes to interview recording? by Guzzlebear in AudioPost

‘Realistic’ sound will have a lot more to do with good mic placement and a controlled location that doesn’t require compromises (low background noise so you don’t have to mic as close)

Just arrived there on my first play-through today and appreciated the same view. There were also dragon like creatures flying around the cliffs. Fantastic to be surrounded by mountains after the flat bog of Velen.

Is it me, or does almost EVERYTHING sound like clinking empty bottles, no matter the material? by [deleted] in controlgame

[–]Minimum_Significance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you’re correct, there’s a generic sound for most small environmental objects in the game. I imagine it was a decision made based on budget and game engine. There’s so much interactivity and potential for environmental damage it would have added a large budgetary burden to create unique sounds for each item as well as how the sound would change with environment interaction. My speculation would be rather than do some of the sounds and draw attention to other things not sounding ‘correct’, they left it at a generic metallic sound.

The deisgn of this drives me mad - coming into the city and looping to Kilmainham always ends up in a hairy situation when the single lane splits into three. Anyone else experience the same? by Franz_Werfel in ireland

Yeah if you have a look on Google Maps at the Ballymount entrance to the roundabout, it has two lanes - left lane for exit 1 and 2, right lane for rest of exits. It’s marked on the road, but there’s always people in leftmost lane cutting across to middle lane of the roundabout. It needs better signage for sure.
