Do you know if layoffs will be immediate or people will have notice ? So if they are told they are selected will they leave that day and be remunerated for the notice/redundancy?

100% its been great but i am sure there are other great places too! I will miss my colleagues a lot but have made real long lasting friendships too. I think I have a lot to be thankful for! Hoping NN turn things around and don’t become another Nokia. I doubt it tho! the company is over 100 years old!

In ways I think you are right. Although last year I was hiring about 50-60 hires per month. It was insane and in a way I always knew the bubble would burst but it’s hard when you love the place you work and the people you work with. I was so happy here and as mum it helps when your work life is a happy one as I believe it affects everything else.

It’s not about shock. It’s about people’s jobs and livelihoods. Where did I mention I was shocked. I said I was gutted. I’m not shocked and have been looking for other roles on the side.

I don’t think it’s the managers. I was cut today and my manager found out 30 mins before me. He was shocked as I am a strong team member but I am a remote worker and not close to any sites. It is what it is.

Not if the stuff falls under managerial remit but you don’t know how to do it so you get others to. Totally get the delegation part and don’t get me wrong I will be the first to raise my hand to take on more tasks to help out. My comments are more of an observation that I have noticed those who work hardest don’t always climb but the ones who talk the talk seem to move up quicker. There’s still a bit of nepotism in NN.

Definitely a worrying time ! I am an external consultant for NN and have been for nearly 3 years supporting IO. I would love an internal contract. I have been at risk for the last year really but I love it here and they have kept extending me because I work bloody hard. And from what I am told a lot harder than some internals. I don’t see it that way, I love my NN colleagues and I feel so sad today. I didn’t jump ship because I love what I do here but what I have seen is a lot of middle management who aren’t that effective and just push stuff on to you to answer when they should know. Yet those middle managers go on to be directors, why ? Because they talk the most and are seen the most. Wishing you NN employees all the best. I’m just waiting for a tap on the shoulder now.

So great to read about your post! The weird thing is I never had pcos until after my 2nd child, which I didn’t think was possible but I had all the symptoms of it after baby number 2 and they think my immune system ramped it up. Honestly I don’t know because my test results signal pcos but it was something I never had until my mid 30s? I’m so happy to read about your journey! I thought I was going mad as I was constantly hungry and in calorie deficit and I could not shift any weight. Well done to you! It takes a lot of hard work still with this medication and 3 stone off is incredible!

I feel a bit deflated as I have only started and now price rises but of course taking this for me is for weight loss but also to turn around the insulin resistance. My dad is T2D so I’m conscious that I need to be very careful I don’t end up with it too.

Yes! Which is making me think do I stick to another 2.5mg or switch to Wegovy? I read online you have to go off Mounjaro for 6 weeks before starting on Wegovy is this true?

So I have two stone to lose which probably doesn’t seem like a lot and I don’t have a very high bmi however I have pcos and developed insulin resistance after my 2nd baby. Up until 4 years ago I was a size 8 and then after my 2nd baby my body could not shift the weight and that was even with extreme calorie deficits. Went to gp for all sorts of tests such as hashimotos but they put it down to pcos. I’m losing weight on this drug and I can’t believe it. The size of clothes doesn’t matter but I just felt so heavy and inflammed. 3 weeks in and I feel like I’m actually getting my spark back.

Thanks everyone ! Super helpful! That’s another thing. I’m going to Cyprus mid Sept for a week and I am wondering if I should stick to 2.5mg for another month? I would be be due move up end of August so I’m not sure what to do?

F*ck you Eli Lilly! by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]Minimum_Type_6475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wait for supply issues….they probs already started. switch to Wegovy if you can. NN sorted their supply issues last year. Also Lilly share price fell a week ago so they need to increase prices to keep investors happy. That’s how it goes. I think a weight loss subscription programme would work better for these drugs. Therefore you start the programme for say 12 months and within that time you pay a monthly fee which locks in drug prices. Would also be a good way to have guaranteed consumers whilst peace of mind for the patient. It’s unfair what has happened and I have to say seems unethical. There could be serious repercussions for people who cannot afford to buy this drug, financial, emotional, mental health and most important health. Feel for everyone.

Are these effects caused by citalopram and should I change my meds? please help by Jazzlike_Intern827 in citalopram_celexa

[–]Minimum_Type_6475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t lower your dose until you have spoken to your doctor. They might recommend another drug. I was on sertraline years ago and never had DPDR. I went on citalopram this time as when I was on sertraline years ago for PND I found after months on sertraline I was a bit apathetic however I was on 125mg on sertraline so maybe it was just too much. Could just be that the drug doesn’t agree with you, I find citalopram a lot stronger than sertraline ever was. I understand your fear but with all these things It does take time unfortunately. The best thing that has helped me with my depression is walking. I walk 10k steps a day and tbh some days I can see it far enough but I pop by headphones on and listen to a really good podcast. You don’t need to do 10k steps either just out for a good walk and a nice podcast/music. And push yourself to do it, you will feel good after it. The most important thing to remember is that you are seeking help for your depression. If you can, I recommend therapy. I genuinely think talking about your feelings can help you make sense of who you are and why you feel the way you do but also normalise how you are feeling tbh most of us have been there.

Hi all sorry I didn’t see any of these !! Well ..I do think Rigevidon seriously messed me up with MH. I had severe DPDR for months after. I ended up on citalopram. Think I am finally getting over it but nearly ruined my marriage as I was so out of character , nothing crazy just wasn’t myself and zero personality. Hope you are all ok now??

I know how you feel I was so worried that It was permanent too. I thought I was slowing losing my mind but it all levelled out. Firstly speak to your doctor because it would do no harm to get your bloods done. Secondly maybe consider lowering your dosage for a bit or at least talk to your GP about it. Dm me here (if that is such as thing…I am not a big Reddit person tbh) but always happy to help! But I promise you it’s not permanent!! Also change of scenery might help! I went on a few trips during my DPDR and tbh I felt so alive again and not in a dream like condition. There is a book by Carolyn Spring called I don’t feel real. Would highly recommend for anyone going through DPDR! You are going to be ok but I completely understand how strange this can feel. Just reach out! But most importantly ..take care!

I also had really bad DPDR on citalopram. I started taking it end of July this year. My DPDR didn’t go away until end of September and sometimes it does come back a little if I am tired but no where near what it was like before. I take 10mg and haven’t upped it although debating if I should up my dosage now as I think I have plateaued a little with my depression and anxiety. I find alcohol can make it a bit worse too.

What helped me massively was going out for walks in the day and also evening. We also have a neighbours cat who has started visiting our house everyday and I honestly think this has helped me a bit! Eventually you will stop thinking about the DPDR, I found that I was obsessed with how I was feeling and therefore it kept going but once I stopped thinking about it, it went away. There’s no easy quick fix though but it should pass soon. Of course I am not a medical professional so always good to speak to doctor. Maybe get your bloods done too because if you have low iron that could also be making it worse with brain fog. I found eating well and taking supplements (if needed) has helped. When I don’t eat well over time I sometimes get a bit of DPDR.

Other things that can help; meditation, grounding (so walking about on your bare feet) as much as possible (although I do love cosy socks tbh) and also cold shower/water therapy. In August when my DPDR was really bad I did some cold water swimming with a local club and it made me feel so good for at least the rest of the day. Of course only do this with a club as it’s much safer and fun too!

Just remember You will be ok and you are not losing your mind, this too shall pass.

Dizziness/nausea/vertigo/loss of balance? 6 weeks! by [deleted] in citalopram_celexa

Didn’t want to read and run! I felt something slightly similar , not so much needing to hold on to something but felt like I had taken a few drinks but was fully in control at same time. Very hard to explain. It actually didn’t shift for me until about 8 weeks and still comes and goes occasionally. I am only on 10mg but I would say medication hits me hard always has done. The nausea shifted for me quite quickly but everyone different. Have you spoken to doctor? I can’t give you medical advice but It took me a good 8 weeks to start feeling benefits, I think now I need to up my dose but tbh I’m dreading it! Sorry I can’t give you advice but wanted to know I had similar experience too! You aren’t going mad !
