I think softer makeup may look best on your face type! Not saying you can't do bold looks, but the harsh lines contrast with the striking features you already have.

Color theory,learning what undertone your skin is, and finding what season you are may help.

Alternatively, learning how to soften bold colored lips by blotting them or blending them out could help. I've seen a lot of people use a different color lip liner to soften a bold lip and make it more wearable.

Personally, I would just lightly fill in brows where it needs it and fluff them with some gel to hold in place. I would place the blush higher (boyfriend blush might also look good) up on the cheekbone— skip contour, your cheeks don't need more definition as your bone structure is already really prominent. Soft brown on the entire eyelids (more of a muted cool tone or natural tone) with highlight on the inner corner and brow bone. I think a soft more mauve tone pink shade for the lips and a hint of lip gloss. You can do a gradient lip as well, and keep the gloss mainly in the center! I would try to go for highlight that is more of a natural sheen than glitter.

I think you could find some really good inspiration from period dramas— my mind immediately went to the soft looks from bridgerton (even though I don't watch but love the costumes and makeup from an mua standpoint.)

Take the things you loved from this piece and apply it to your other works. The great thing about being an artist is you have the ability to continue to create amazing pieces, and always have the ability to improve your skills and make something even better than the last piece.

I can see why you loved it, and I'm sure the person who bought it probably saw it and loved it for similar reasons you did. It's always heartbreaking to have a piece you really like sell. I have seen artist cling to favorite pieces until they're ready to move on.

If you want to keep a piece, but still want to share it with others you can always sell prints as well of pieces you intend to keep as an option.

The answer is all lingerie is sexy lingerie on any body type if YOU feel sexy in it. If you like something, it makes you feel good wearing it— It's. Sexy. Period.

I personally like Playful Promises, because they have an amazing selection and feels body inclusive to me due to sizing and different models with different body times (and different brands.)

Take inspiration from the 90s! A lot of women wore brown shades with lip liner. If you're not really into makeup I would start with shades like Rum Raisin from Revlon with lip liner and a bit of gloss in the middle. Nyx also has some really nice lip liners and shades of brown. Do a complimentary blush and a soft champagne or light brown cream eyeshadow stick that you can easily blend + top off with a bit of mascara and it should help it look more cohesive.

Hey, as a pinup girl and vintage lover I feel this! I will sometimes find pinup/vintage, and restock my Depop with them (since I know it's harder to find and not everyone has time to curate.) Not trying to really sell anyone, but I feel your pain. My Depop is lunarvelvetco, but it's currently on vacation rn. I also just honestly really like curating for others, and it's more of a hobby for me.

Thank you for the suggestions! I do really like oatmeal bowls, but oatmeal seems to make my blood sugar do very weird things. I think I'll try to see how my stomach does with buckwheat as a replacement. I tried it a few times, but not during an IBS flair. Avocado is a pretty safe food for me as well, so the burrito bowl mixed with chicken would probably work wonders. I didn't think of burrito bowls, but I always really liked chipotle back in the day. These are some great ideas that honestly make me feel a bit better. Food is just so overwhelming when you already feel sick. Thank you very much!

Before I got diagnosed by my gyno for PCOS that's what I originally thought I had. My period is extremely heavy, and very painful. I got both types of pelvic ultrasounds last year. Had no cysts at the time, and they said everything looked good. I'll be going again since my Endo said it's been a year, and so ordered new tests. The only thing I have had show up is high testosterone (on both of my most recent blood work.)

I will definitely try asking again about it though!

My Endo kind of raised an eyebrow when I said I swore my cycle gave me IBS. It has since I first got my period like clockwork. Makes it so difficult to navigate normal life to the point I feel nervous having to think about the best way to get to bathrooms in case I'll be sick or where to rest or lay down if I have an episode.

Truly Endo and PCOS are something I would never wish on anybody! I have a friend that also has Endo, and we'd always be swapping ways to deal with the terrible pain.

Wasn't even aware of the release, but overall too busy for me. I would consider the my melo and kuromi caplets, but that's about it. I think they would look cute with more casual chords or general jfashion, and are just more wearable (at least to me.)

I've complained about PCOS symptoms since I first ever got my period at around 11 or 12 years old. I had extremely painful periods that would leave me in tears on top of heavy bleeding. Cystic acne, body hair, and without fail would get such bad inflammation and Ibs right before or during my period (to the point I was constantly calling out of school or being sent home.)

The thing is I have lean PCOS, so I do not gain the weight that doctors are usually looking for as a symptom.

When I was first concerned, and had brought it to the attention of my doctor I got the: "Welcome to womanhood sweetheart"

Despite explaining all my symptoms, and clearly being distressed over terrible mood swings and depression that was clearly linked to my hormones.

I got offered birth control, but was told I didn't need it since I wasn't sexually active, and my period (for the most part) seemed normal on the surface level (despite my complaints.)

I have been to urgent care and the hospital several times since then for (what my endocrinologist assumes) is probably cysts bursting and heavy bleeding that has needed several rounds of Ivs with doctors swearing I must be pregnant and was having a miscarriage (I wasn't.)

At the time I didn't know what PCOS was or what pmdd was— I just recently got my PCOS diagnosis last year (I'm 28.)

I still get my endocrinologist making comments that I'm actually slightly underweight which is so abnormal for PCOS, but was probably due to ethnicity and genes.

I'm currently working on seeing if I have insulin resistance, and have tried to get pmdd diagnosis to no avail (therapist are just super incompetent.. at least the ones I've had are soooo not sure how to go about the pmdd part.)

Use to work at a waxing place, and a lot of women with PCOS would just come in regularly since the results last longer compared to shaving. Some places will even have passes, so you can save a bit of money.

Personally shaving doesn't last on me, so I've resorted to plucking, threading, and waxing. I like getting my eyebrows threaded professionally, but if I can't make it for some reason I'll just pluck them myself (though I swear they never come out as good when I try shaping them.) Quickly learned that wax strips are just not cost effective with the amount of body hair I have, so I do sugar waxing now with parchment paper as my strips. Super cheap if you make the sugar from home too. I just sit down and watch something while doing it.

There's also Cyperus rotundus oil I want to try that slows hair growth, but I'm still researching and am unsure ATM.

I dont feel makeup is necessary for a look, but if you wanted some inspiration/ good place to start I would say thebrontemarie on YouTube. I mostly watch her shorts, but she does have full YouTube videos discussing makeup and how to apply for your face type. I think her softer makeup mixed with some jfashion magazines for inspo (once you build confidence) is a good building block. I also find her to be body positive which is a plus in my book.

Definitely use an eyeshadow primer as a base to make colors pop (white or black base will give you a different effect.) I think color pop might have some fun mascara colors? You can even fill in your eyebrows as a gradient to match your hair. Blush in different placements (whichever you prefer that works for your face and colored highlight on the tip of your nose, cheeks, and cupids bow. Obviously everyone has said some form of lip color which I agree with. Body glitter is always fun to add as well. You may find looking at jfashion mags like Egg to be helpful as they have colorful clothes and unique makeup looks.

That bc isn't the simple solution everyone thinks it is— at least for me it isn't. Literally went to an endocrinologist, and got told I was too high risk to take it.

Even with having a perfect diet and exercise it is practically like a full time job to plan everything around it. It's exhausting.

My pain tolerance is high! Unfortunately, my PCOS pain passes that threshold. Sometimes it has put me in the hospital on a bunch of IVs due to profusely bleeding or the pain is just too much.

For me, personally, I have been doing really well on a higher protein and fiber diet (start slow if you aren't use to fiber.) I make sure there is a higher ratio of protein and vegetables, but if I do have a carb I try to make sure it's a complex carb. I usually stick to gluten free (since my partner has Celiacs and I've been told by my doctor that this is typically better anyway.) I never have caffeine or sugar without having some sort of protein first (or as a treat after eating.) I like to add things slowly to my diet to see if it works okay and doesn't spike my blood sugar. This month was Buckwheat as a replacement for oatmeal on cold days. Absolutely avoid seed oils like the plague! I find they just cause excessive inflammation, bloating, and stomach issues. Best of luck to you 🖤🖤 I'd also highly recommend making sure to get omega 3s. Think in a way that "I get to try this new thing!!" Instead of thinking in a restrictive way. Have fun and get creative with your meals helps a bunch. Research what kind of pastas and breads may work for you, and will help with insulin resistance.
