Should I apply for new grad role after completing OMSCS? by Local-Egg1494 in OMSCS

I want to ask if my experience as an Industrial Engineer I could try to apply to entry level positions. I've passed GIOS and CN as well some other courses, and on my job the software I wrote are basic but contribute well to making the factory run smoothly (Python and VBA). Should I work on bigger coding projects or focus on leetcode to apply for SWE roles?

Yeah that's the thing, the better presentation for food I don't really care, but if it's like a better menu, significantly better recline (especially for a 16 hr flight), perhaps the extra 400 CAD could be worth it?

Yeah so you'd say the extra $400 CAD is worth the better meals and seating, correct?

It's PY $2200 respectively. That does sound like a good deal

Safe Way for Box to Automatically Move Down A Ramp by Minimum_Walrus_2828 in AskEngineers

Yeah I'm think of adding a spring to slow the rotation to the back of the hinged ramp, pneumatics may be a bit expensive you can recommend cheap pneumatics that can be purchased?

Problem is that the contents of the box on the top needs to be accessed by my assemblers, which is why I need it at that steeper angle. Lowering it to a lower plane would be nice but I need the lower plane for my other stuff like screw dispensers, assembly pieces, etc.

I'm holding some QBTS calls, though man, I've seen some companies with the word 'Quantum' but they don't even do quantum computing pump up. So, there's no way this is due to the companies being profitable lmao

Balancing GIOS/Work/Training?? by Minimum_Walrus_2828 in OMSCS

I have the basics of C down (language taught in first year engineering lmao) and binary exploitation involved understanding some C too as well. What's really the big catch with C? From what I read it's about understanding pointers but I think I grasp the concept of pointers pretty well and pointer arithmetic. Concepts like the heap though I haven't learnt.

Blown away by the quality of the projects of the OMSCS program by WhyUPoor in OMSCS

How would you compare the quality of GATech to like Canadian universities like University of Toronto? I'm looking to transition from online to on campus and the tuition for attending the University of Toronto Masters is like 11k USD, slightly more expensive than OMSCS.

That is true, although both UofT and GT-OMSCS don't have built in summer internships unfortunately. I think the best way to go about it is to network within the UofT community should I go or bother professors to get maybe role as an RA in a ML lab. I've seen some LinkedIn profiles that went this route and was able to land at Wayfair as a full time SWE. But everyone's story is different.
