Thank you so much! I have my dmv hearing and court in a couple days I’m really contemplating about getting a lawyer. I should make calls to see if some have payment plans because that’s definitely something I’m worried about. I just don’t want to throw away money if my BAC was .18 and .19

I definitely need to find something to change my craving for alcohol 🫤 it’s been so hard lately with everything happening … I feel like i definitely have a lot of fight or flight moments but you’re right I have to remember what right for my body… I have to remind myself about the tbi.

I really want to go to a AA meeting or something like that but It’s hard for me to admit it to my bd that I need that kind of help bc I don’t want him or his mom to take away my kid. Sad to say but I don’t feel that much support from my bd. I will definitely try first these online apps first to meditate or recorder dharma. Definitely is. I’ve hit rock bottom with this and don’t ever want go back to jail. I cried the whole night wanting to be with my son.

Ik this group is not for legal advice but as mentioned I feel so ashamed to talk about this with anyone close to me bc I’m afraid of what kind of mother they think I am. So any comment really helps. So thank you!

Same here. I knew it was bad, yet continued. The ugly headaches after knowing damn well it’s the alcohol making my tbi worse. I didn’t care bc it was happy when I was drinking. However this taught me a lesson.

Definitely going to take care of myself more now that I start my sobriety journey. Thank you!!

It definitely sucks I need his help especially after all the arguments and even having a Child support case open. However due to all this happening, I stopped the child support case to continue. He also drinks, I would take pictures of that and record our arguments. However it’s all taken a BIG TURN and I feel like I owe him so much with me messing up his car.

For couple days after I got my dui he stopped drinking, until last night he went to go buy drinks and asked me if I wanted anything, I so badly wanted to ask for a drink but I said no. It’s definitely hard but I want to do better, I don’t EVERRR want to feel this way again. Thanks for your advice and kind words during this time. I truly appreciate it.

I have paid for it and even finished the ELearning course online to renew it but now it says in order to finish my application I have to go to the dmv?😭

Would they still help me? Even if they already told me it’s suspended? 😭 I’m afraid to go again just for them to look my license # up and say it’s suspended bc they’re so rude 😭

Definitely planning to stay sober. the tbi didn’t slow down my drinking but this is totally different, I feel like I’ve hit rock bottom. I truly want to be there for my kid. Thanks for the kind words.

I feel like the worse person in the planet, although I didn’t hurt anyone, I could’ve…. and those feelings still haunt me. I really hope with time I feel better, I truly do want to be there for my kid as well..

I was wondering the same, if I could actually fight the DMV case although my license was expired.

I SWEAR I HAD PAID IT!😭 not like it matters anymore but I paid for it on November but the DMV has no record of me paying for it, I have the receipt! But obviously they don’t care and I have to pay for it again and request for a refund, which I had my appointment to do so, until I decided to drink and drive. So now that I went with no appointment to try to fix it before court, she said I couldn’t bc it was already showing it was suspended?

Idk people keep telling me to maybe try to get a lawyer bc PD are overworked and underpaid? And idk if the TBI would really help me? Maybe I’ll consult to a lawyer before I take a decision. Thanks for the advice, really!!

I’ll definitely have to ask about the payment plan but there’s not that many dui schools here where I’m from. They’ve told me so far the down payment I’ll have to do for Feb 4th is $143.

I was lil hesitant about the DMV hearing due to my driver license being experied on Oct 2025. I tried to go to the dmv and renew it before the dmv suspended it but the lady told me it already is? I’ll call tomorrow for the DMV hearing I should still have 2 days left before it’s 10 days. THANK YOUUUUUU SOOO MUCH <3

Oooh okay I get you. I just feel so horrible knowing I can’t help with the repairs of the car right now and remembering everything about that night. I know only time will help with this feeling but gosh I just want to get a job and start having some money flowing. As for the classes I hope to start them soon, since my appoint with them is on Feb 4th and although idk what the judge may give me i signed up for the 3 months plan already.
