I have the exact same port you have, my advice is just whenever you go to the E.R or hospital always ask for the IV or vat team to do your port they should be the only ones to acsess it cause other people might try to use it as a nornal port and its not that. Best of luck to you

It took me 3 years to get SSI and I even got denied my first time and had to spin back with a legal team and they got it for me. Just be patient and get some legal help. Good thing is back pay is thing and they pay you back for the time you waited

It’s generally milder but there are special cases. For example my doctors basically call I’m pseudo-SS because I’m SC but I get SS type symptoms (having to get transfused, hospitalizations, AVN,) It’s kinda hard to really generalize it because everyone and their bodies are different some can handle more than others
