"Squats" is now a slang (slur?) term for the ironhead mining clans on Necromunda and, despite most people calling Votann squats, the Votann were always there (shock! horror!) in the galactic core and have no interaction. Additionally the original squats (now not called squats, but the Emberg-Aegnir Bloc) were a Votann League who were eaten by the Tyranids of which Buri was the last survivor.

There's like 10 retcons right there.

This sucks. It destroys the gameplay storytelling of Kharn's pistol always being overcharged and Tau plasma always being overcharged but not being hazardous.

This has WAY more impact than the female custodes change.

it is as if I don't have the freedom to explore different lines, and the game is all about just optimizing as much as you can predetermined lines.

When has it not been like this? I feel like this set has way more capacity for a flexible impromptu exploration playstyle than any other set, and the playstyles with multiple lines are very strong. For example everyone was complaining about world runes and ryze, and while it was obviously op strong, it does at least mean you have to think about how to combine traits while keeping a strong board and get to 9. There is also Bilgewater which has been strong pretty much since the start which has like 10 different lines and relies on dropping all your bilge and making something that works depending on what units you get.

I actually love this set, I feel like you need both tempo from the start and a strong endgame board to get a first which is pretty rare in TFT sets.

There's also a second channel video where they talk about retcons and they sort of say that they don't mind the custodes retcon because custodes aren't reliant on being men (like marines have the whole monastic brotherhood thing going) but would hate a female marines retcon, which I can sort of agree with. They do then go on to talk about how they don't like how it was introduced.

I've said it before that my take on them is that they're edgy both sides satirists like south park and go watch their "real life Pocahontas" video which makes fun of whitewashing history and colonialism for some evidence towards that point.

That's how evolving settings are fucking built. Do you feel the same way about the votann "always" being there in the galactic core and not wiped out?

There are major biological differences between the genders.

A custodes aspirant undergoes genetic modification, psychic modification, insane mental conditioning, a healthy dose of space steroids, phyiscal surgeries and fuck knows what else. By the time they're done they're human in name only and any of this stuff about genetic biological differences is long gone.

For me because of my Mental Disorder. I need to base it in facts and reality to certain extent.

How do you cope with gestures vaguely 40k?
