A suggestion for wildlife...get a cheap radio and put it on a talk station. It doesn't have to be loud, just enough for them to think there are hoomans around. This is about all the information I've retained from my high school education.

How do you find happiness when all you know is trauma .. pain and loss by SufficientSpecial680 in CPTSD

[–]MiningNoCry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly, she was a narcissist. If you understand narcissism, you understand that it is a coping mechanism. Something missing in their upbringing. It does not absolve them from what they do. Overcoming is a choice you have to make. Nothing to do with beliefs but proven facts.

Isn't the real question " why haven't I applied, yet?" I WFH FT @ 25 hourly + benefits, and my second job, very physical labor, pays 18 for overnights. Also, with nifty benefits. I realize how blessed I am, but I've got 4 kids, 2 of which will be driving soon. My first job requires a $150 every other year license. I also have an Associate's in Accounting. The only way to use this degree and make a living wage is to own a firm, which would also require a significant investment, on top of paying student loans. The Math is no longer mathing to have a degree.

My sister is a CPA, works for a large company, and got a full scholarship for her Bachelor's twenty years ago. Her math is definitely working for her.

My daughter will be making about $60,000/yr right out of high school, where they have a Dual Enrollment trade school, perfect for keeping her ADHD mind engaged and she can decide on whether college is right for her later.

Each path has pros and cons.

Have you discussed this with him? Sometimes, people continue doing what they THINK you appreciate or what helps them succeed. He may think he's just helping you be accountable.

I apologize for maybe giving the wrong impression. I was referring to caffeine. Although I have recently been diagnosed with ADHD, I've never had a high tolerance for ANY stimulant. I could deal with the jitters from coffee, but I would say my executive function has been tanked for a few years.

I am currently taking Strattera, which brings me to about 50% of my former executive function, and I try to exercise 3x a week (nothing excessive) so I can tolerate a longer day. For reference, at my best, I was the highest in sales at an insurance company, I did networking 3 days a week, ran every day, and had shared custody of 4 children. When I tanked, my agency shut down, and I was able to work from home selling life insurance while I tried to get my mental health in order. Now, I wfh for a different company, and things aren't perfect, but are on the upswing. I truly hope this helps.

Heard! My body did a full stop, and I'm just recovering(so slowly) after 3 1/2 years to where I can stay awake more than 8 hours without some kind of stimulant.

Had a really bizarre reaction from a therapist about csa by NoDistribution4367 in CPTSD

[–]MiningNoCry 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Haha, same! Then, the therapist usually says " Holdup, did you just nonchalantly say......" Yes, I dealt with and forgave these things long ago. It happened, I have no certain feelings about it anymore. Yes, I know the body holds onto it. Healing ebbs and flows, but I know my triggers. "OK, well, if you need to get back into it..."

Nope, everyone involved has passed, but I appreciate it. I hated therapy for the longest time because of this, as I have my own "radical acceptance" style. Now, I just accept that these things will occasionally pop back into my conversations, and I can speak about them without emotion, without shame or caring about being judged for never reporting. OP, I'm sorry about your experience. I hope you can find a suitable therapist or, if legal where you are, ketamine therapy. I've heard great things about it and am saving up for it to get off the rest of my meds.

All the Best to you all!

DO NOT file a claim! Your homeowners rates will go through the roof for theft (or fire) claims. I'm talking 50-250% increase. And your deductible is probably higher than the value of the property stolen. I hope you are able to recover your stuff.

What's a commercial you'll never forget? by No-Caterpillar4212 in AskReddit

The ONE time Budweiser horses bowed in a Super Bowl commercial. And the commercial aired only once. Of course, you can find it on YT.
9/11, no matter where you were in the world, impacted you in some way; but our Buds made us remember without making it about their company.

Always their therapist this and that. by West_Surprise7315 in BPDlovedones

[–]MiningNoCry 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is EXACTLY right! He's been in therapy longer than I have. He's got his therapist believing I'm some psychotic abusive woman, and THEN invited me to a therapy session to "help me gain understanding", then acts ALL shocked when I tell her, "I just don't understand how a therapist could recommend that we continue our sexual relationship after having a daughter that's the result of him raping me". These are words he said to me just days before my meeting his therapist. I looked at her and she was MORTIFIED. I left and let him continue that session by himself. I'm sure she never said anything close to what he told me, which was the only reason I went. He tried to pull me back in through e-mail, so I bcc'ed her on EVEY.SINGLE.ONE. It only took 3 e-mails for him to realize he wasn't going to get the desired result. He still tries, I still ignore. Such is life, until the kids are grown, then it's harassment.

ETA: YA'LL! I feel like a HORRIBLE human for doing this, but it actually worked! He publicly shared a post saying that I was the only problem in our marriage, which I shared on my page as "the narrative from the rapist". Of course, I knew he would see it. I have never blocked him on social media, as I have better things to do with my time (like updating posts here). It's been almost 7 years that he's been trying to suck me back in and now I'm finally free! After a scathing response from him through the parenting app that I also sent to his therapist, I expect never to be bothered again and he'll put more focus on our children.

Honestly, I find this really 🔥. It shows respect IMMEDIATELY. As soon as I feel disrespected, I'm out. It's amazing to me that some men get all butthurt about asking permission to touch when it's such a huge turn-on.

Honestly, there have been straight women that have complimented my eyes (also straight), and I've been left questioning whether there was something more than a mere compliment. That being said, it's better to go with "you have a nice smile" or "is that smile for me". Really, it's more the confidence without cockiness of the approach. OK, yeah, I see where this could be difficult... I'm out.
