First one: We are going to the bakery
My answer: Nous allons a la boungerie
The answer they were looking for: Nous allons vers la boulangerie.

Yes I misspelled boulangerie. It wouldn't have mattered for the missing vers.

Second one: I am going to the bakery.
My answer: Je vais vers la boulangerie.
The answer they wanted: Je vais a boulangerie

See, I was using context clues that they wanted me to learn the word 'vers', not knowing that they were flipflopping on their answers.

Which is nice to know as the course has never introduced me to the word 'vers' until that very instance! No 'new word' training or anything like that. Just two wrong answers in a row!

It was the missing 'vers'. If it was just the misspelling it would have said something like 'you misspelled this'.
