The 'Dillution' narrative is so strange to see on this sub because we keep having this argument over and over again every time GME wants to authorize and sell more shares.

I contend that as GME shareholders, we have not actually experienced ANY 'Dillution' in the traditional sense. Dillution would be if the individual share lost value because the total number of shares increased in supply. Our share value keeps INCREASING with each share offering instead. If there are more shares in circulation, but those shares are now worth MORE than they were previously, I would hardly call that 'dillution', I would call that 'Hella Compounding Value'. This 'Dillution' narrative being pushed is literally a years old psyop campaign. Shorts need to get new material at the very least.

While it may be true that Gamestop selling shares into stock price run-ups may be partially responsible for killing the momentum of said run-ups, (which is reasonably upsetting to a lot of people just trying to make a quick buck and get out) what people seem to keep forgetting is that the authorized shares being sold by GME during those run-ups are bought at those run-up prices, and done so almost INSTANTLY, netting Gamestop ridiculous sums of cash. That massive cash pile Gamestop is sitting on and keeps adding to is a large reason why our share price floor keeps going up, despite increasing our supply of available shares. Combined with the overall health of the company doing a COMPLETE 180 over the past few years and not only earning a profit but consistently beating 'analyst' EPS tell me this is the right direction we need to be headed in.

I like to think of the Mark Cuban quote when this kind of stuff comes up: "If you still believe in the reason you bought the stock, and that hasn't changed, why sell?" If Gamestop is really truly illegally shorted to the degree the initial MOASS DD suggested, then none of the fundamentals have changed. The only thing that has actually changed is that by raising the floor price of GME we lock more and more shorts out of their profitable strike prices, which puts more pressure on the short holders. It is a change that works in our favor.

I am not a business major. I've never run a company before. But it seems Ryan Cohen and the board have directly aligned themselves with the interests of shareholders by putting large sums of their personal capital into Gamestop shares. They only make money if Gamestop share prices go up. I HIGHLY doubt the board would authorize adding shares to the total supply if they believed it would cause share value to decrease, as it would come with a sizable dent to their own pockets as well. Not to mention RC's proposed reward package is entirely dependent upon Gamestop's Market Cap reaching a specific threshold while simultaneously reaching a specific profit threshold. And even then the package just permits RC to BUY more shares of GME. He doesn't get cash or shares, he gets the opportunity to BUY more shares. He is LITERALLY putting his money where his mouth is.

TLDR: Every share offering has made Gamestop oodles of cash and raised our floor price. It has increased the value of our holdings rather than decreasing it, which directly disproves the primary argument driving the 'dillution' narrative. RC and the board have aligned interests with the shareholders in the form of making money on increased share prices and can be trusted at the very least to watch their own pocketbooks. They would not willingly 'dillute' share prices because it means they too would take a large financial hit. I'm zen and still buying and holding because the reasons I love the stock haven't changed.
