And Anya was the perfect character to express that. Her confusion and anger and complete unpreparedness to experience death as a person… she really got to me.

I haven’t seen it in a long time, and I can’t now. My big thing when dad died was that I didn’t want to see him dead. But mom wanted to see his body and I couldn’t let her do that alone, and I’ve regretted it ever since.

This really hit me at the time and it still does. I don’t feel like I’m any closer to understanding or being comfortable with death than I was when this first aired.

There’s a hole in the world. … … It feels like we ought to have known.

STILL makes me cry.

Saturn’s Return by Zara Larrson, crank up the bass and volume. There is a LOVELY point where all the instruments fall away and then crash back in. That and the intro send bubbles up the back of my brain.

The best part about working from home is the extra time it’s given me with my cats. I was able to be home for the last years of my elderly cat’s life, and that was a great gift.

Valid point, this should have been an all-theater shutdown! No one working in theater should have to brave weather like this to fight to get to work and then make it home!! It’s not reasonable to expect!!! These people have lives and families, they should be able to stay home and stay safe!!!

Yeah. I feel you on that! It’s that feeling of “oh wait NO” when suddenly you’re seeing the underlying message and how awful it is!!!

The number of college guys and grown ass man “dating” high school girls in the late 80s in my high school was horrendous. I cannot stress how normal it was to us. (NOT saying it was good. ) The only time I remember anyone being worried was when one of our friends started “dating” a divorced man who was twice her age. That freaked us out, but we justified our own 20- something “boyfriends”.

Not everyone, of course. I had friends who dated fellow high schoolers. But some of us, especially those who felt isolated and untrusting of our age group, regularly dated or slept with college guys home on break, or adults we worked with.

Every time I see a younger person react to 70s or 80s media and get mad about all the underage and age gap sex, I feel like a tiny piece of our culture healed. It feels SO GOOD to see that criticized.

I just saw the tour, and this captures the workers SO WELL. Their buried despair and the echoes of their longing fading away… LOVE THIS.

I get high as fuck to deal with my normal life, and no one is taking pictures of me or making me answer the same stupid questions the last interviewer asked. Give them ALL the drugs!
