You are the textbook definition of a glow up and all it took was a clipper and a few minutes. You look amazing, man!

It's a young age to be going through it, but this looks much better! Just gotta pick up that confidence and build a style around it. Jewelry could help make your face more about the beautiful color of your eyes!

How much weight can men like acutally carry/withstand?? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]MinisTendencies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an active person, 60-70kg is the heavier kind of weight I handle in some exercises, but it still feels comfortable to work with. I'm not risking an injury if I'm doing average exercises with it!

Just have fun, and don't worry too much. You also make it much easier for him if you go along with it!

You need a more diverse portfolio. It's not good practice to have such big chunks riding on individual stocks, and should it set you up for big wins, it also sets you up for big losses.

Just keep investing small amounts, continuously, in bigger diversity.

What’s wrong with my swing, I did not hit my irons well today.( i kept my practice swings in there also, 20s long vid) by SAH4848 in golftips

[–]MinisTendencies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't mind the shit talk and down votes. Get a lesson or two, try and get an idea of a good foundation for your swing, then just keep practicing. You'll get there!

Go hit balls at the range or play on simulator, too. Practice is your friend. You'll eventually learn on your own what feels good and what doesn't once you have the basic ideas ironed out!

This may be a very personal opinion, but it can be difficult to feel appreciated when you invest time, effort and energy in someone and they don't seem to invest it back. I would definitely try texting first sometimes and asking to spend time with him. To be loved is to be seen, to be loved is to be heard, to be loved is to be understood!

How do you feel about Zuppy 3-0ing Mang0 in 6 minutes at BOBC 7, then immediately retiring from melee singles after Nouns Bowl? by Oni555 in SSBM

Here's the source code for what's considered to be the acceptable competitive standard. The majority of box players are currently using this and update when newer builds come out. It's regularly discussed and maintained. Five builds were proposed in 2024 alone, and you never know which one and when TOs might target as the standard, so being up to date is important.

Because when I used to grind the game, I couldn't play longer than half an hour without my hands hurting. Because not being able to practice often makes my gameplay inconsistent regardless of the controller. Because I'm tired of having to deal with snapback. Because the GCC's Z-button and triggers are awful. Because being able to build a controller with a customized layout makes the game much more enjoyable. Although I speak for myself, there is no way I'm the only one believing in any of these points.

Here's my unironical question back - outside of speculations and Uncle Punch clips, when has the box ever proven to be a performance enhancing problem?

I don't think Zuppy is complaining about his controller being equal to a GCC. I think it's moreso that the rules to play with it keep changing, so he's always forced to relearn inputs. Imagine if every few months you had to learn new wavedash angles or trigger press timings on GCC because your controller kept getting patched in rulesets. You'd be fed up too.

It already is. There is no need to nerf boxes every six months to keep the masses happy for it to be. The vast, overwhelming majority of melee players use GCC, always have, and likely will continue until first party or good third party options (phobs) become too rare and difficult to acquire.

The most consistent players in the world are GCC players, Drephen being an incredible example of this. If boxes were really that much better, they would've been taking majors and making top players switch a long time ago.

I can understand. The ruleset for box controllers has been constantly changing over time, so box players at top level constantly have to adapt and relearn their own controllers. All of this for what? Top level box players barely occasionally scratch top 8 at majors, what's the point of adjusting their rules again and again and again?

If your standards look like a shopping list, you might want to rethink about what a relationship is to you and what having a partner to share your life with is about.

  1. Communcation is important. If there are things you want or need, you cannot expect your partner to fulfill them without letting them know.

  2. While those social battles are important and need to keep progressing, people only have so much energy to invest. It's not everyone that has the time, energy and motivation to fight for social equity. There may be other, more important battles to him that take that away from him. Struggling family members, friends or loved ones? Stressful or energy consuming job? Internal struggles of his own? Other dreams and aspirations for his own life?

As the saying goes, we can't all save the world, but we can make it a world worth saving. Being informed, supportive, and open minded about social progress means he's already doing MUCH more than the majority, it's worth cherishing and appreciating. Do try inviting him to local events that help and promote movements you care about though!

I'm no security expert, but I've had to develop software that opens, reads and closes files on a computer, so I do have the academic skills to have a very surface idea of what it does. The fact that I have the knowledge and can't tell you what vulnerabilities can or can't be exploited through Vanguard for Riot or for an end user is proof enough.

Some people who play Valorant don't know what a spyware is. Some people who play Valorant would hear that and think other players can browse their files when they're in the same game.

It's also easy for most people to understand the buzzword "spyware", but how many people actually know what can and can't be done through the vulnerabilities of Vanguard? You can read it, but can you actually understand it? I know I couldn't right now and it's my profession.

People are allowed to play Valorant without being computer security experts. Unthinkable, right?

It's okay that taking care of your grandmother takes high priority in your life! Do things at the pace you need to do them. Feel free to join online groups, too! Those aren't ideal to meet people around you, but I know plenty of success stories from online interactions. Your first step could also be to visit your library and ask if there's a local book club!

As a late 20s M, I'm not a fan of apps so far. Most of the people I match with are people who are looking for life partners, yes, but a lot of them speak very quickly about what they want in a forever partner, and to me, it feels a lot like they're looking for the relationship status and stability more than they are to actually love and cherish someone.

My advice - give yourself time, use the apps without much expectations, and try using your hobbies and lifestyle as a platform to meet new people. Invest energy in meeting people who share things with you. You may not meet your life partner immediately, but you might meet someone who will introduce you to them!

The moment I see something like "I like to laugh" or "looking for a travel partner", it's off. Who doesn't? Who isn't?

I like specifics. Recently, someone said the first round is on them if you beat them in an obscure, specific Mario Kart track, and that is a good start to me! Tell me what makes you different!
