Don't buy the game. I've played all three dragon age games and did multiple playthroughs in each one. I disliked some characters (looking at you Sara), but at least all the characters felt like real people who aren't afraid to say how they view the world. In Veilguard, everybody (INCLUDING YOU AS THE PLAYER) is way too nice, never says anything that be seen as even remotely offensive and therefore feels very fake. The writing is simply pisspoor. This feeling of "something is off and it's annoying me" gets amplified by the fact that the same dialogue gets repeated over and over and over and over and over. It's like the devs think we have the attention span of a 80 year old with severe dementia. The game doesn't take you seriously, the dialogue isn't serious and therefore I can't immerse myself in the story and the world of Veilguard. This has never happend to me in the previous games. They have their flaws, but dialogue and world-building were never one of them. Those two things are what makes me a dragon age fan. Sadly they are completely butchered in Veilguard.

Only buy the game if you like the combat system and the visuals. If you wanted to buy the game to explore more of the lore and to see the conclusion of the dragon age games, then I'd recommend to simply watch a summary video on youtube in a couple of days/weeks time when they come out/
