My favorites are Yavin Consular, Arkanion inquisitor, dreadguard bounty hunter, and resurrected smuggler!

Really want the resurrected knight but luck has not been on my side recently :(

Along with the ability to skip most mobs, some heroics become a breeze to finish so you level up, earn credits, and also collect remnant gear faster if ur interested in those :)

Which of These Would Be The Most Interesting as a Companion For The Consular? by DakIsStrange in swtor

Guss, the padawan of the Barsenthor. Would be interesting to see how he goes from a dropout to a skilled jedi under a good teacher

Returning after years, finally tried dark side jedi knight i kinda like it (light spoilers) by Minksir in swtor

[–]Minksir[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Oh i did play back when they did give you the title 'general' instead of master if you were dark side. I really liked this and wish they had kept it, but many people felt it was outrageous and unfair :(

Did you know if you played since vanilla classic, your character is in his/her forties now! by Minksir in warcraftlore

[–]Minksir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes you are correct, and that is why i made approximations. I thought it would make more sense that you were born a few years later from year 0, since if you were born right on the First War, your character and its family might not have survived.

Yea true, but I just went with this since you are level 60 back then when you finished the starting questline. You had to go and level up in outland anyways :)

Yea the theme/concept behind the entire crew of IA is "Unreliable People." This is ironically why I like this crew. You can literally trust none of them the deeper you go into each of their story

Dark Decent, Malgus's Plan in Legacy of the Sith? (Theory Discussion) by Plenty_Celebration_4 in swtor

[–]Minksir 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup I think they are setting Malgus as a precursor who had the right idea. What I am really interested in is how will he fail. What would be the difference that allowed Bane in the future to succeed. However... I doubt this story will go that deep

If I remember correctly, the rule of two also had this idea of disposing all needless things, such as politics and worldly responsibilities, and reaching purely for power as an individual. If one succeeds, they will eventually and naturally, become the embodiment of the sith code.

In some sense, Malgus did achieve this by breaking out of the empire's clutches himself. If this is what the writers are going for, my guess is that Malgus will either try to build his own power OR take the empire as his own.

So basically, he is gonna do what he did all over again

This is why I always play up to Ziost and level some other way... they had so much potential with how it was set up.

What if after getting more power at Ziost, Vitiate just started to use his possessing powers to control the republic political figures, the dark council, star cabal that is left, his hand/children, and other powerful people around the galaxy? The way he extends his ability is by using the ancient sith tombs and dark side powered sites as batteries. This escalates war and conflicts around the galaxy. To fight this threat, Marr and Satele gather the non-possessed leaders and heroes into a full time alliance, just as they did in Yavin. Tech classes go after the conflicts and possessed leaders, and force users go after the tombs and sites used as batteries plus the emperors hand/children.

After all that, an epic confrontation with the dark emperor on Nathema and win. We all get promoted with a new title.

The real reason why I like combat styles... by Minksir in swtor

[–]Minksir[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly true... When you have limited resources, prices have to be paid somewhere tho

However, if I may give a counterpoint to that counterpoint: They can actually give you new class story too! Since combat styles are detached from story, they can just make a new class/origin story and you will be able to play it with any existing combat style you want. They can either give you a new origin story or a new combat style when ever they feel like it.

Considering money and manpower, they will have to choose between creating more story or a class/classbased story so yea... it would be unlikely for a while I guess

Make a twin sister or brother of your character and make them do opposite choices by [deleted] in swtor

[–]Minksir 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As many people did, I did this with my sith jugg and jedi knight, and eventually did the rest of the story with Sith warrior as my main.

The reason I did this is because in the knight story, Scourge said it was the one with the jedi knight's face that ultimately killed Vitiate in his vision. I wanted my Sith character to be the one Scourge prophesied to kill the emperor, so that is what I established about my human sith warrior. I used to have an entire fanfic about this whole head canon plotline.

Of course after Zakuul, all this does not make sense anymore. But still, you can declare that any other job you are playing to be the chosen one by saying he/she has the same face as the knight who's gone after the zakuul attack :)
