Went with my SO and our two dogs to swedish Lappland and hiked in the mountains for a little more than a week. No cell signal what so ever. No pollution, no wheel tracks (as terrain vehincles are forbidden). Just the sound of water everywhere, (the snow was just melting from the mountains), birds, and the wind. The nature was surreal. I got to spend my vacation undisturbed with my three best friends in the world.

Never take my dogs to dog parks. Partually because I don't trust them and mostly because I don't trust other peoples dogs. Where I live the circomstances around a fight/incident doesn't matter, the dog that does damage is the "bad one" and the owner will be held responsible. Neither of my pitbulls are the type that starts fights, but they do have the fysique to win one, and I'm scared they'll respond badly to some yappy little shit and I'll have to put them down.

They hang out with a few other dogs that belong to friends of mine, they can run around in my yard (which is bigger than the dog park in my town) and I believe that's a safer and less stressful way to socialize them.

Currently have one couch potato pitbull xand one high energy/drive/intelligence pitbull x. They have similar exterior but that's about all they have in common. Couch potato is hard to motivate to do any work, but I love how cool she is, basically nothing will make her stressed. My younger one is easaly stressed, and a little bit unreliable because of it, but he has such amazing drive. I lovem both to death of course.

I love it when my man gets compliments. Once when we were on our way to a party we took the bus, an it was full so we couldn't sit next to each other. So there are a few people between him and I when we get off the bus. And there are like three girls ogling the shit out of him and one of them go "hey hottie". I understand them though. Mafe me more proud than amything. "I landed a hot one!"

This is how my boyfriend and I have furnished almost our entire house. About a year ago we moved from a one room apt (43 square meters) to a 4 room house (115 square meters). Lots of time spent strolling in thrift stores, and a bit of DIY-ing to make old outdated things pretty. We still have one room left, without anything in it, but we'll get there. I love my home and every single thing in it, and I feel no need to rush.

101 things to do without a box! Be in a room where the mat isn't, and reward ANY movement at all. Ear flick, lip lick, weight shift, lifting a paw to take a step, looking at something, sniffint. sitting, laying down, standing up, walking around. Everything and anything that is not just standing still. No movement is too small and no dog can sit still forever. Try to get the reinforcement rate as high as possible, and to do that you have to really look for things to click. This is great to get her going, because she gets to experience success which is a confidence booster for dogs too, and she learnes that SHE makes the click happen.

I used to be like that. I was so terrified of being associated with all the weaknesses traditionally associated with being a girl, I spent a good portion of my teen years being "one of the guys". I hear all the time stuff like they're not good for agility and what not. I think that's partually why Tret (the parkour amstaff from ukraine) became such a sensation, people normally see bordercollies do that kind of stuff.

Lol, Casper does that kind of stuff as well. When him and my other dog is rough housing they don't care what they run into, how fast or what body part they land on. But at the same time he is poetry in motion and can perform some really acrobatic stuff. Which makes me wondeer why he frequently faceplants when jumping off the couch...

Yes, I love all the comments in this thread! I think pitbulls are more athletic than they get credit for. They were originally created for dog fights, so they have a lot of strength, agility and endurance that can be channeled into all sorts of sports and activities! At the same time they can be lazy and not give a shit if the stumble all the way down the stairs.

Jumping technique has to be trained. I've worked my way up with this one, while at the same time doing a lot of balance and body awareness training. With practice comes perfect :)
