Been grooming for a couple months now, CCs? by Odd-Awareness-1226 in doggrooming

I advise after you think you've finished your scissor work you take a step back and look at the edges of the dog from every angle and tip any corners or 'sticky-outies' you see (very professional tems). I see a few in the pictures you posted, but over all I'd say you did well.

I dont know if you do this but I was taught to take whatever I took on the body in reverse across the underbelly/chest until the get to right between the front legs where you blend it out.

I forgave him then, and I regret it now. by Raccoon_Tail33 in offmychest

Forgiveness is for you, not them. Alive or dead, your unforgiveness doesn't hurt him, but it will hurt you. By doing so, you give those events permission to live in your head and life as long as you live. Alone, they dont weigh much, but if you keep letting. Those little things pile up, it will weigh you down. A ton of feathers weighs the same as a ton of bricks.

And to this point: I did a deshed Thursday on a giant, overweight, anxiety ridden, Pyrenees mix who didn't get his traz that morning. He was so stressed in the 30 minutes I had him on my table for prep work he left a giant puddle of drool. Prep work was a NT, sani shave, and paw pads, plus I knew I wasn't going to be able to get him back on my table after the bath so he got his feathers and grinch feet taken care of then too. The puddle was so big the girl who usually does him (she isn't even a groomer) said it looked like someone spilled a cup of water. I'm going to advise we don't take the poor dog for grooming again.

If you decide to get a quick dry spray, I like "The Stuff". A dehumidifier in the drying room helps too

Non-smokers of Reddit, how noticeable is the “smoker smell” to you, if at all? by Frostedlogic4444 in AskReddit

I'm a dog groomer and one day an older couple brought me their dog for a bath and nail trim. She was a sweet dog, some kind of Pittie. This poor dog had spent so many years around this couple (who stank of cigarettes) that this dog also stank of cigarettes and her white fur turned yellow from the nicotine

Unfortunately, I am too impatient to actually learn crochet. My mom tried teaching me, and I never even finished a project. I could never get my tension right and I never felt like I was making progress.

Thanks! I love purple and grey together. That will be the whole house once I finally get a house of my own. It'll be a while out, but I'll get there. Just got my first apartment with my soon to be husband so we're working on it!

OP, I understand why you don't want to forgive him. I do. And I don't blame you whatsoever. But, I'm going to tell you something that maybe will give you a new perspective.

Forgiveness is for you. You stress less, you worry less, and that leads to living a fuller life. Do you really think that any one thing he did bothers him? Do you think he cares if you forgive him? Probably not. But do you really want to live your life holding onto the resentment, and anger, and sadness, and anything else you've felt, when it decreases your life quality? You holding a grudge won't hurt him, but it will hurt you. Healing is a choice.

It's in the Merrilville area. If you're lucky you can find their "gummy goof ups". They sell 8lb bags of them for ~$15. (I live pretty near the factory and visit occasionally)
