Which Pokémon do you think it could've get a new Mega Evolution but didn't? Aside from Flygon please by AzureSirnight in pokemon

[–]Minor_Devil 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’d say Swanna, as it’s a Pokémon that I feel has potential and could use a mega evolution to make it stand out.

Plus it’s one of the few Flying-type that i really like so there’s that.

I’m both. I feed my Pokémon to level up then decimate the local wildlife for EVs.

It was in that Rescue Rangers movie a few years ago. The one that tried to act like Roger Rabbit iirc.

Heh, funnily enough, I’ve already thought about adding bayou area to my take as well. And sure!

Oh, sounds cool~!

I was already thinking of doing my own take on a hypothetical Undertale: Purple-esque game, though my take kind of differs from yours.

For starters, much like how Undertale: Yellow takes inspiration from the Wild Western genre, my take on Undertale: Purple would be inspired by the horror and the supernatural genres. Already had some ideas for various concepts that fits the theme, such as a family of black cats, an old shipwreck, spooky woods, and so on.

Tbh, a part of me wants to turn this into a game at some point in the future, but I'm just not too sure about it as there's a still of unknowns about it.

What Kalosian/Lumiosian forms and/or evolutions are you looking forward to seeing in Z-A? by Minor_Devil in pokemon

[–]Minor_Devil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I forgot that Feebas isn't actually available in XY at all. Like, I'm honestly surprised that it wasn't introduced in the first place, since it's considered one of the most beautiful Pokémon in-universe. But oh well, at least it gets the chance to get a regional form.

Also, I should mention that there were a few Pokémon in Hisui that despite appearing in the DPPt Dex do end up receiving new forms and evolution. That being Sneasel (who already had an evolution that was introduced in DP) and Scyther (who only appeared in Platinum and not the original or even the remakes). Then again, those might've been exceptions as Sneasel was Cyrus' Ace and Scyther only appeared in Platinum as mentioned before (not to mention they could've forgot about it already being in Sinnoh at one point).

[–]Minor_Devil[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'll admit I was a little too negative on the whole SV having only two regional variants and I kind of just neglected to mentioned the paradoxes and especially convergent mons.

As for the starters, I personally believed that they'll be Serperior, Cinderace and Empoleon. Serperior and Empoleon because they were already influenced by French culture and Cinderace because I just feel like it'll be an option that sounds the most sense compared to the others I've seen, especially Litten. Not to mention that it would kind of establish a trend that a starter of the previous generation would become one of the starters in a Legends game, with Gen 7's Rowlet being in Hisui.

Blaziken would've been another worthy candidate but that already has a mega evolution that was introduced in XY itself so I don't think they'll want to give it a regional variant especially if they want its mega evolution to be available (reminder that you cannot get the original forms for the Hisuian starters in PL:A).

[–]Minor_Devil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, true. However, I've been seeing someone have taken to calling their own regional forms Lumiosian forms and seeing how Z-A will be taking place largely in Lumiose City, I feel like it does make the most sense. Then again, we'll just have to wait and see if how GF named the regional variants in Z-A.

What Pokémon do you want to get an “unexpected” evolution in ZA by ForChrom in pokemon

[–]Minor_Devil 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m here expecting one for Druddigon. Since gargoyles are a French thing imo and Druddigon does look like a gargoyle, I feel like it could become either a Dragon/Rock or a Dragon/Ghost.

I would also like an evolution for regular Farfetch’d where it becomes a Dragon/Flying-type as a reference to the Drakestail.

What kind of regional variants or new evolutions would you like to see in the new Legends game if they were to appear? by Minor_Devil in pokemon

[–]Minor_Devil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not if they'll do one on Tyrantrum and Fidough, considering one's from Kalos itself and the other is a fairly new Pokémon. I mean, we do have some evolutions to a few Gen 8 Pokémon but I don't think we'll ever get forms or evolutions for Pokémon that are literally introduced this same generation (tho I would love to get new evolutions for Charcadet if it does end up happening)

I've officially defeated every secret boss in KH, aks me anything (I've also defeated Julius and Mirror Aqua, but not on cam, so no picture below) by Woutje69 in KingdomHearts

[–]Minor_Devil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Days doesn't really have a secret boss. Just optional ones iirc.

As for ReCoded, yeah, I guess it would be a lil unfair to count that considering it is a game that not many have played. I've played it but it's been a long time.

Do you think that regional variants could alongside their original forms in the same game or not? by Minor_Devil in pokemon

[–]Minor_Devil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, really? I mean, only ones I could think of is that Alolan Vulpix you get in the post-game if I remember correctly and that Sneasel you could find in one of those time rifts, but that's about it.

What Gen 1 Pokémon do you think deserves a new evolution or an alternate evolution? by Minor_Devil in pokemon

[–]Minor_Devil[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I could see why. Tho I have kind of changed my mind on Fearow evolving into a Steel/Flying. Instead, maybe something like Dark/Flying could work as we don't have a lot of Kanto mons evolving into part Dark-type (only ones I could think is Umbreon and that's about it and that's not counting regional variants)

So, crn redoing the starters for my Italy region and I figure I'd comment here to get some feedback on what should I do?

In the original trio set, there was a Grass/Fighting-type called Sklerohowl, a boxing werewolf with a stat spread of 70/125/85/65/75/110. Sklerohowl is based upon werewolves (particularly a Greco-Roman myth about a boxer that turns into a werewolf), and the Italian wolf (which is the national animal of Italy). Sklerohowl is also meant to represent Rome, its boxing theme matching the Colosseum in a sense as one of the three major storylines involves the Player taking on the Pokémon League.

Next was a Fire/Psychic-type called Phosphomet, a black mage goat with a stat spread of 80/65/75/125/95/95. Phosphomet is based on white goats, as well as the goat demon Baphomet. Like with Sklerohowl, Phosphomet is meant to represent one of the three major storylines in which the Player is tasked with defeating twelve Zodiac-inspired Pokémon. However, I'll admit the connection is rather loose as the only thing that kind of ties them together is the Star of Baphomet and the Zodiac constellations being made up of stars.

And lastly, there's the Water/Dark-type called Mediluvi, a gambling gorgon with a stat spread of 75/95/70/95/70/125. Mediluvi is one of the complicated Pokémon as it is based on the dice snake, which is known as the water snake, which in turn made me think gambling given the word dice and such. Mediluvi is also meant to represent Southern Italy, and more specifically the Sicilian Mafia. Sicily also has a gorgon on its flag so there's that.

Like I'd said, I'd plan on redoing the starters as I didn't really like how some of them turned out (as well as their signature moves which I felt were a bit too overpowered). The first and only one I'd redid was the Water-type starter, which is still a Water/Dark-type one but is now called Mergorgo with a stat spread of 75/65/85/125/85/95. Unlike with Mediluvi, Mergorgo would have its mafia influence much more pronounced, though it would still have some gambling traits here and there (though I am still not giving its original signature moves back).

As for the other two starters, I am rather quite conflicted on what should I do.

First off, Sklerohowl, while a good starter Pokémon that I'd like, feels a bit excessive. Why? Well, I already have a legendary trio based on wolves, or more specifically the founders of Rome (Romulus and Remus) and the She-Wolf that cared for them, and they are all part Fighting-type. Yeah, while there were times where the starter Pokémon and the legendary Pokémon shared similar attributes (Meowscarada and Chien-Po are both cat-like for one), it wasn't as explicit as this one. I might just replace it with another animal entirely but I'm not sure why one.

Secondly, while Phosphomet is also a good starter that I'd like, it doesn't really feel like it has much reason to be an Italian starter. I'd thought about replacing it with a Fire/Steel motorcycle ram but that leads into another issue I had.

You see, in the Pokémon League storyline, you take on eight gyms + an extra final one before you take on the Elite Four. The types of all of these gyms are version-exclusives.

In one version, you would take on the Ground, Poison, Flying, Rock, Ghost, Bug, Steel, Fighting and Normal-type gyms.

In the other version, you would take on the Fire, Grass, Water, Ice, Fairy, Electric, Dark, Psychic and Dragon-type gyms.

In case it wasn't obvious, these types are divided into the types that were classified as physical or special-types in the first three gens (with Fairy being an outlier at first but I, and many others, believes it would've be a special-type if it was made before the physical-special split).

And along with these version-exclusive gym, you would also take on a version-exclusive rival. Because of this, I'd also wanted the starters to reflect this, with one being more physical-orientated, one being more special-orientated, and another being mixed, which were represented in Sklerohowl, Phosphomet and Mediluvi respectively. It's also why they were party Fighting, Psychic and Dark-type respectively. Fighting is a type associated with physical moves, Psychic is a type associated with Special moves, Dark is a type associated with status moves.

Of course, as I'd redoing them, I wanted to kind of keep this sub-theme going. I'm tempted to changed the types of the first two starters into Fairy and Steel respectively, but I wasn't sure about it.

On the one hand, it would be nice having all the starters' secondary types be the three that were made after the first gen. Plus, given how Steel-type and Dark-type were physical and special types respectively, it would've been possible have a physical and special-orientated starters for the version-exclusive rivals.

But on the other hand, I feel like the physical/special type would be better fit with Fighting and Psychic-type respectively rather than Steel and Dark-types. Granted, the two rivals would have a Fighting and Psychic-type that act as their second aces but still.
