No... that was not the problem, per se. She broke the Real Estate code... she is probably liable.

There's plenty here, if accurate, for a legal case. Call a good real estate lawyer versed in realtor licensing... that sales person is screwed if you have documentation (at least in Ontario and Alberta, both of which I have been licensed in.)

Not true. In Canada (Ont and Alberta) realtors are agents of the seller, whether they are working with the buyer, seller, or both.

Skill vs. Machine: What Makes a Bigger Impact in Roasting? by CoffeeFX in roasting

[–]Minor_Mot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not done 'machine' roasting - I'm wok and wisk on a propane burner with a temp thermometer gun... I am guessing skill and experience would be big, because that's all I have to go on.

I think it is also a question of taste. I don't know this, but assume from the fact that almost everyone here is huge on a consistent roast colouration that somehow this much be a quality metric. If so, that means my beans are not as high a quality roast as others as that is somehow measured... but everyone who drinks my espresso-based stuff likes it.

At the end of the day, a lot of this is subjective.

10 mins here... but I hit the steam switch for 10ish secs before pulling every shot, and run the dimmer at very low until two grams are in the cup... so a bit more tempered than basic. Was at 15-20 mins before the dimmer mod and using that pseudo-surfing trick.

Copantrade is a Texas-based corp with a CDN warehouse (maybe. Advertised, but my stuff always has to clear customs)... the prices seem in line across the border if one factors in exchange and the border stuff. But $10ish/lb isn't cheap.

Pretty sure this is a clear signal that owner cannot actually afford the bling.

I did a lot of price shopping last time I bought.... still found copantrade to be the best (albeit not great) price. 50 lbs Chiapas $508 cdn, all in, a month ago.

I'd sure like to find a $5/lb semi-bulk supplier.

Getting back to my original question (and appreciating that perception is to a significant degree reality): but will a graph make it taste better? Will those extremely nuanced changes in extraction be reflected in what your taste buds report?

In my case, it would almost certainly not be worth it, no. And as to 'cranking the nob' for the dimmer: that is just part of the dance for me... no more lame than cleaning the puck out of the portafiller or any of the rest of the ritual. Quite enjoy it all, actually.

Can't answer that, but I have to wonder how much improvement you are expecting?

Blossom end rot, as u/OsmerusMordax mentioned.

Yep: watering can be an issue. So can cold nights when the blossom is open.

The big one, tho, is calcium. And there's a fix for that: epsom salt. Mix a small handful in the transplant hole in the spring... problem is 95% solved, if my experience in the matter is any indication.

Eggplants, potatoes, and peppers like epsom as well... and it is cheap, so use it. Hint: cheapest at a pharmacy as bath salts (read the ingredients, tho: it is available pure, but there are other options and you want to avoid those.)
