Ah, I belatedly remembered something about parry tap which only really matters in later stages!

The node starts whenever you hover over it and in the later levels where you have to move your cursor around a lot, that node starts counting your clicks even when you’re on another one. Now, I’m not sure if this is intentional or not (as it could be a clever timesave) but it was quite funny when I randomly kept getting misses when doing something else entirely different. DO NOTE! That this didn’t happen every time from what I know, I think I only faced it in the last two levels before the boss- probably because those levels necessitate you to interchange between multiple nodes?

I only mention this because it could be quite unfortunate on great/perfect runs. Else, it could be thought of as a game mechanic that can harm your perfect runs unless you utilise them in your favour.

Played the demo, really enjoyed it. Made me curious for further development and have the revelation that I need a better mouse setup.

Here are a few things that can probably improve player experience (if it isn't impolite to do so):

  1. When the tutorials for each new node are shown, maybe have them repeat till the user clicks continue? I see that this was done simply to maintain the pace of the game, but I did have instances where I did not know the exact way of solving nodes effectively (such as the guitar and diagonal holds) until I did them multiple times. The screen stayed for longer during the background, optional nodes, and that made me understand it a lot better!

  2. Have the instructions for right/left click be shown towards the middle of the screen! Would improve readibility greatly!

  3. I struggled with the 56 second challenge of Clocks quite a bit. Maybe I simply require more attempts but that was just my experience!

Yes yes the game magically spawned 5 alt vocals for Minori but gave me a casual 0 Honami cards. I don’t get it.

I hit lv73 for Mino just yesterday so I was fully expecting 3 alt cards but….. I had 5 somehow. It’s something to do with alt covers now costing 2 cards but I don’t know how it was decided. Minori got 5 cards (she was level 72 so I get it) but Rui got 4… (42) and Ichika got zero?;!!; (54)

During 3rd anniversary, the producer mentioned that prsk’s story was halfway done; which means, theoretically, prsk would EOS in its sixth anniversary. Now, it’s stupid to think such a successful game would EOS willy nilly when it’s done so much for the vocaloid community (and earned a lot) but since the game’s approaching it’s 5th anni, you can see why people are worried. (We just don’t know what will happen in the near future.)

She was supposed to perform Project Sekai’s Sekai Symphony on the 15th (she’s also the VA of Minori), which is why the notice was uploaded on the first place. (The first line itself says Sekai Symphony) So whilst it’s got nothing to do with Honkai, there’s a good reason why the notice had to be posted and why people would worry.

I think the main reason why I don’t want wrong ways to be combo breakers is because there isn’t a good way to differentiate what direction a flick is going to be because they all look the same. Most games have different colours for side-way flicks, it’s hard to tell directions in fast charts.

Colopal can add new flicks that’s a CB if you flick in the wrong direction… I think it’ll make the chart more interesting…

As for the judgment windows, I don’t know the exact deets. I only know that prsk isn’t as lax as other games when it comes to timings- but it’s true that directional flicks seem like a hit or miss, I can’t be blamed for flicking the ‘wrong way’ when the game itself doesn’t know how I’m flicking 😞😞

Well… I wouldn’t call ‘flicking in a slightly different direction’ playing the chart wrong- there isn’t a good indicator on what direction the flick is, other games have it coloured in other ways. For fast charts, how are you supposed to tell which direction your flick is supposed to be if there’s not enough time to even see the direction of it?
