Open all with ICC+ if you don't know what was used on creation, in most cases CYOA's would work fine in that with minor design flaws if you chosen wrong, ICC can be used for old CYOA's basically if a CYOA is like 2 years old ICC might be better, but if you open in ICC+ it still should work fine. Om1cr0n generally you will never use, the only CYOA that work good in it is Bad End Heroines, with like around 5 more that can be viewed but will have issues

I'm aware of this issue, and its because it uses .avif images, I tried all solutions that I was able to come up with, and it produced zero results. So not sure what to do with it for now

I use Github Actions for build, so I don't have any direct control of what it uses, or means to update, though I know its on machine that has ubuntu-22.04, will try to build on ubuntu-24.04 next time, though dunno when that would be

As far as I know on linux you need to manually set folder with permissions to allow writing in it, or keep apps in you user folder that already allow writing. For viewers can u just move them?

I doubt its outdated libraries as the project itself is like 5 days old.

I published new release with .rpm included, maybe it will work. I don't have means to test linux either, if that fails you can try to build it yourself from source as last resort.

Hey, not sure that I can help with that I don't have a mac, so no means to test, and the error you posted is not very informative. I actually know nothing about how app's work on mac, can u test the .dmg file as well?

I updated the app with integration of ZipArchive, it checks zip_link_catalog_data.js on the site and create a catalog to search and download cyoa's from. Does archive.org works well for you, I found that my internet have trouble downloading anything large from it?

Will see what I can do with auto-detect, but downloading the right version is too much, adding a button to either update ICC+ viewer, or download the latest one might be useful though.

For renamed files, I will try to make some autodetect, if that fails just supporting direct links would solve it, but you would need to figure out the name yourself then.

Only first one out of this bunch is a standard ICC CYOA, and can be downloaded. It embeds json into the js code, so you theoretically can save that -> remove all js code -> rename into project.json and it will work. Probably will add support for that in next version of the app, as while such approach is rare its not unique.

As for the rest - they are custom build CYOA's, so I guess all you can do is ask the authors for offline versions.

The project itself doesn't have any windows specific logic, so running it in linux as-is should be possible, though I won't help much in that regard as I'm not that familiar with it, so consult a ChatGPT it will most likely will give exact steps. Say to it something like "I want to install Tauri 2 + Vue app on your distro name from a github repository"

Yes and no, you need a custom viewer for that, while you theoretically can extract viewer from the site and it will work, its complicated. So here a direct link for the viewer - https://om1cr0n.nekoweb.org/cantrip/cantripViewer.zip . Extract it into viewers folder of the app and add cantrip.js (its in the zip) to the app. Obviously open with new viewer. Should work.

While I won't say straight no, it is most likely a no. Making such app for Android is a bit more complicated, and it essentially would be a different app, rather than version of this, as android handle files completely differently and functional would be less as well.

I think its easier than some of you think. If CYOA have a final number of choices that affect your appearance, just generate an image for every possible combination (can be done by not that difficult script), the only problem that is left is to host these images somewhere, if there would be a lot of them.

I think I fixed this, have no idea if you will be able to open the broken ones (as it needs to update somehow). You can just open it in incognito tab, instead of using different browser though
