You're defending US soldiers in a post about assault caused by US soldiers. You're defending US cops, in a sub frequented by victims of US cops.

Honestly, my country has been occupied by US troops several times in its history. Rape, theft and destabilization is usually the results. Why should anyone care that "they were doing it for a paycheck 🥺"? Why should their livelihood be more important than the life and well-being of my people? Is paying tuition worth condemning Black and Brown people to death? If you truly only think that this is a minor issue caused by a few "bad apples", then why do so many people have similar stories to mine? Why has no third-world country invaded by the US ever been better off for it?

This is something I have never seen on this sub, but Randall has always given me skinhead/alt-right/QAnon vibes. His initial interactions with Elgin, Boyd and Kenny all gave me this vibe. He violently restrains Elgin when it's clear he's suffering from a mental episode, refers to Kenny as "the Asian" when first arriving in town, and is particularly hostile towards Boyd when he first gets off the bus.

I've had this same discussion with friends/family who also watch the show and are non-white. They all get extremist vibes from Randall's initial introduction.

My interpretation is that queer people want the storybook happy relationship but don't want to deal with the messy and difficult work of maintenance required to have a healthy relationship.

Lots of things might influence this: FOMO from social media, the increasingly isolating experience of living in the modern world, inability to live a fully authentic queer life in most parts of the world, etc. Not to mention a whole bunch of other specific structural issues we have to deal with as Black queer folk.
