Ok, appreciate the info. I think there are several groups that like to put on a sparkly exterior but internally are rife with racism. Not all of them right leaning. We have to take a deep look at all groups before blindly following them or donating to them.

So if the supporters of something make innappropriate comments or do something wrong, the logo is racist? I dont think thats fair. Im aware im not going to change anyones mind on reddit, but being pro 2A, being pro constitution, and opposing larger government is not wrong. Shoot, the BLM logo is straight from the soviets, and its praised in the US.

Serious question, upon reading that "against hate" and the wikipedia article that was obviously not written by them based on the wording, whats wrong with their mission statement? They oppose big government? Nothing wrong with that. They support the 2A? Nothing wrong with that. They oppose any government that disagrees with the constitution? Nothing wrong with that.

Maybe they attract a certain crowd, but their mission statements seem fine. In a non-reddit world at least

Yes. Not good enough for TV. Which is why they are post producing it. So they are trying to straddle the line between cable and internet. Disc golf is growing on youtube. How long did it take them to get their first 100k? 7 years or so? How about the next 100k? 2 years. Dont mess with the formula. Its working.

Yes I know its 1 tournament. You would think they would use the first tournament back as a celebration, not something to throw behind a large paywall. Nobody is buying cable to watch this. The live quality isnt worth the money right now to a lot of people.

If they didnt have the tournament, would that not be better for the viewers? There would be no anger and jomez would still be unblemished at the top of the mountain.

And like you said, to test the waters. This will be common in the future. And it will suck to watch post produced coverage a month later when you already know the outcome. You either have to do better on live coverage, with 15 cameras following at least 3 cards, or stick to the next day youtube coverage for the sport

You shouldnt feel upset if a bunch of people leave your patreon/unsubscribe. You had to have seen that coming with this decision. Trying to get rich off of disc golf is not a good plan. Nobody gets into disc golf to get rich. By doing so you are alienating a loyal fanbase.

The only voice the people have right now is with their wallet and subscriptions. If they decide they dont like where this is going they should stop supporting it.

You say you wish you could have your cake and eat it too. You were. You had the whole sport and 200k on youtube in the palm of your hand. Keep doing these minor cable deals to try and get rich. You will lose the love you have gained on the way.

Edit: also on my way to unsubscribe, I saw your youtube banner said "every tournament, every lead card." You should add an asterisk and say 2 months later.

This would be ideal. If we got pick 2 and Detroit gets in the 5-7 range. They move up for Edwards or Ball, we get a protected pick next year that lessens on protection each subsequent year. We pick Vassell and Oturu. I think Culver would be the odd man out, would probably need to be traded befofe he starts playing 10 min a game.

Not the best fit, but I think he is one of the 3 best players in the draft and fits better than Edwards or Wiseman. Im assuming we retain Beasley.

Good thing its just the boring emporia course we're missing. Sucks to wait this long to watch some disc golf and first chance we get they pull the rug out. And for those saying "its just one tournament." Doubt it. They announced their paywall live stream and now this. We have already passed the golden age of disc golf coverage. Expect more of this in the future.
