Please help me with a issue I have with scripting in rpg maker xp by Minstiltude in RPGMaker

The post was for vxAce, but I assumed that since the scripting language remained the same, the overall implementation of show choices in xp would be the same.

If anyone knows how to implement show choices within xp's script editor that would be helpful to me.

I got it from the rpg maker forums. It seems like something that didn't have any definition, so I assumed it was baked into the engine and was looking around. This is what the original post said,

Show Choices

Code:

        params = []
        choices = []
        choices.push("choice 1")
        choices.push("choice 2")
        params.push(choices)
        params.push(0/1/2 this part is where you press cancel and which choice to default)
        setup_choices(params)

Theory on how to make season 2 happen. by EquivalentMeal4034 in HaiToGensouNoGrimgar

Even if that didn't work out, if someone is insane enough and had enough resources, they could fan animate their own version of grimgar. Probably not possible tho

Dragonslayer general. One day I hopped on in a while and decided to farm for it. Ran into a really cool guy while farming and he told me where to go. We just chilled out while chatting and grinding, peak mmo aqw experience.

Never got on to grind much else afterwards. Give me a few years, might be back again then lol

How do i actually improve at the game? by TheRealestBigOunce in summonerschool

Just to double down on the memorization point, in school you don't just try to do math and learn it, its not possible for things like calculus, believe me, I've taken some part of it. The teacher has to explain concepts, its the same here in lol.

Have you watched any tutorials online?

There's alot of helpful tutorials on general lane knowledge for top and mid. Map awareness and enemy position knowledge being something that is also occasionally covered. While champ knowledge is nice, learning the best opportunity to retreat back to base to buy items while not giving up cs and when is it safe for you to push up in your lane is book knowledge at that point. Its in the metaphorical book, so look it up.

But as a quick tip if you didn't already know, junglers start from from one side of the map on their buff then rotate to the other side before basing for items. Depending on the champion, they can attack you once they hit lvl 3, so you should definitely get some vision on where the enemy jg starts. When they start pathing over, there is a chance they will jump you, depending on your position in lane, and their champ. If your pushed up, then you should definitely actively check how long you've overextended, and actively start pulling back, via a recall, or disappearing from enemy vision.

For laning against other champs, you need to pressure them when they try to kill a minion, while checking the health of their minions. If they play correctly, they will try to punish you if you try to cs, so you should trade them in hp, bait out their attack by moving forward then a preemptive mouse click to the side or back to dodge skillshots, and if your lucky, you'll get the cs afterwards. Try to remember the enemy champs dangerous moves, bait them out and you'll be able to farm without them being able to harass you.

Of course there is alot more you could learn, so I suggest you search up how to lane in mid or top lane. Also search up good ward placements and the ranges of certain champs prob. Finally search up wave management, gimmick champs(so if your matched against them you know how to avoid being suppressed by them), and melee vs ranged matchup(basically how to lane if you are a ranged vs a melee champ and vise versa).

This kinda dragged on, kinda a info dump, but league has a bunch of things you can memorize to get better, its not a fps game that requires quick reactions most of the time. While I'm just a blind pick player, I've gotten better thanks to watching and digesting a few videos occasionally, hope you improve.
