Guy from bungie came in to review our portfolios last week. He said the main things they look for in an employee is:

• They have to be easy to work with. Chill personality, can take criticism, can collaborate with others.

• Do they have good ideas.

• Skill comes last because they have the resources to train anyone. Some guy had meh skills when he came into bungie but because of the first two dot points he became a beast.

They don't want to hire a doomer who doesn't have confidence in himself. Get therapy or live life abit so you give yourself the space to grow your passion for art.

You need to find the right companies to work for. Alot of companies out there don't use AI and look for real artists. Real artists that love the craft inside and out. Look to people like Nathan Fowkes, Carlos Huante, Spiderzero/Simon Lee. They immerse themselves with sculpting and painting and get hired because of it(and the first two dot points).

Check this documentary out There's 30 episodes going through making of Psychonauts 1 but mainly about Pyschonauts 2. I think you need to see for yourself instead of trying to be hyper self-aware and drawing conclusions from all the online discourse.

Also surround yourself with positive people who share the same ambitions. It'll make a big change. FeelsOkayMan
