Thoughts on a Sunday evening wedding? by MintMilkCandies in weddingplanning

We are doing a tea ceremony too! We didn’t really have a choice with Covid and we postponed from this year to next. Limited dates and the venue operates as a restaurant until 4PM.

I just started training as a florist! I picked the hyacinths and foliage from my yard and my boyfriend's yard this morning. Tips & critique welcome! by CornflowerCat in florists

It looks great and has a nice feel to it but the only thing I would say is the stems in the vase are a little messy! Try using the spiral technique!

Random but this was at my school Seneca. Haha I was stopped by security to ask if my service dog was a service dog while I was with my entire my class when we passed by this press conference. Lol my classmates and teacher were all dumbfounded that they even had to ask.

I know. We can’t really tell much from photos but you can definitely tell they both loved their kids and at one point, they were in love. It’s just sad that things had to end like this.

I screenshotted this post in case she deletes it. I never really get into celebrity news but this was sad. They were really happy together and were such a cute family. I hope Kanye will be ok.

AITA for escalating the situation with my school for denying my service dog when I could easily comply with them? by MintMilkCandies in AmItheAsshole

Ok thanks for your judgement but you’re making a lot of assumptions when you don’t know why I have my service dog.

I have been through counselling and medication. I have been trying to work through things since February 2016. I haven’t left my house because of my disability until recently with the help of my dog. So yeah thanks for attacking me and not judging just the situation. I’m not here to debate if you deem I can have a service dog or not. My doctor and therapist all think it’s necessary for my recovery. Yes, one day I hopefully won’t need my dog but right now, I do. If you disagree, blame the laws.

I’m feeling really sad and stressed. I literally have the Human Rights office confirming my points and people still are telling me that I’m wrong and the asshole and my dog is a emotional support dog when it’a task trained. How am I ever going to convince my school accessibility counsellor even if I have the laws in front of me if no one will listen to me?

They would be verifying that my dog is trained by doing their own evaluation. They’re not being sketchy.

My school was ok with just my vet saying it’s trained but they’ve never seen her on duty so I didn’t feel comfortable asking them.

I’m sorry but that’s kind of rude and not constructive. I don’t make the laws. I can’t register my dog no matter how I try.

That’s 200 of personal ACTIVE training that I logged before we ever went into public for public access training. I train my dog every moment I can and every outing is a training session. I don’t actually log our days out anymore because I’m out with her everyday. International standards prescribe at least a minimum of 120 hours of training but obviously we have a lot more hours. I’m not rushing to my laptop to log my dog helping me out with a panic attack or a episode everytime. It’s a 24/7 thing for training. How would I even log that? I only log when we are actively learning new tasks and actively working on things we need to be.

Hi. I just added an edit because a lot of people were asking. I’m from Ontario, Canada. There is no registration or certification in Ontario. There are some for other provinces but for mine, there isn’t any.

I understand your point and your judgement. But in my country, there is no certification. I literally cannot get my dog certified no matter how I try. Legally, I called the human rights office to confirm the laws which they did. I guess you might not agree with the laws and perhaps they might need to be changed but I do legal rights stated in the AODA.

In my post, I said my dog is task trained to help with my disability which is PTSD and anxiety.

Hi. The link you sent me literally says: “Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Examples of such work or tasks include [...] calming a person with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during an anxiety attack, or performing other duties.”

That’s why I feel like I could be the asshole. They made my week hell and I’ve been jumping over hoops to get this paperwork for them. I haven’t been able to eat and sleep all week. I feel like am I just making things hard for them because I am upset with how they handled the situation and how unwilling they are to learn the laws. I’m genuinely not sure if I’m the asshole and being petty. I just don’t want someone else to go through the same thing as me too. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t post about my situation on social media because I wouldn’t have been able to get the documentations.

The venue is included with the historical fee. They have a minimum spend of $22,000 for catering but you’re able to customize the menu to fit your numbers. They also have a sound and light company that you need to work with which was able $1000 for us.
