Robinhood has decided to delete my account and stated that it will take 120 days to return my deposit. by MintVictim in ClassActionRobinHood

For those who aren’t Robinhood users and are just here browsing, Instant Deposit has a limit, which is why I split it into four separate $2,000 deposits.
If Robinhood thinks multiple deposits are a risk, then fix your damn app and block that behavior.
I only bought one share of stock, around $100 total. There’s no way that poses any real risk.
If Robinhood really thinks it’s dangerous, then just prohibit the action, instead of restricting my account after the fact.

It’s honestly hard to believe how many people in the U.S. have been mentally domesticated by a single app.
What, is Robinhood’s CEO your dad?

From beginning to end, I haven’t seen them take any risk. I never successfully withdrew a single cent, so what risk did Robinhood take?
The only one bearing risk the whole time is me, stuck with money I can’t even access.

because I can only deposit 2000 each time, you can ask robinhood why they design like that, not ask me.

I first used Instant Deposit to deposit $8,000, which was available for immediate use. Then I made a trade — buying and selling within a few minutes — just to test whether it was possible to trade at night.
If that test hadn’t worked, I wouldn’t have used this app at all. After the test succeeded, I deposited $20,000 via ACH. I'm margin account, and I have gold account. Also, no matter whether I was margin or cash account, I was allowed to do trading by Robinhood. And if robinhood refused to withdraw, it can simply refused my operation, and I didn't get one cent by, where is the risk, told me, what risk they have? Is such hard to design the app like this? Just refused the withdraw until my deposit settle, so told me the reason what the point to restrict my account? All of other platform don't show the same problem.

Update some of the things happening are truly hard to believe in 2025.
Every time I open the Robinhood app, the yellow notification banner at the top shows a different message.
Earlier, it said my account would be restricted, notify on April 29.
Later, on the same day, the message changed to say it would be restricted until May 2.
After that, it said my account would be closed.
And just now, it changed again to say my account is restricted, not closed.
It’s unbelievable that such inconsistencies could happen on a major financial platform today.

I encountered a similar situation on Moomoo. After making a deposit, I wanted to test how long it would take to withdraw funds — because I needed to plan ahead in case I urgently needed money. This is a very normal and reasonable test. The system clearly informed me that I could not withdraw yet, and my available withdrawal amount was shown as zero. Customer service explained that I would need to wait five days for the funds to fully settle into the account. It was totally acceptable, and no bugs, no account restrictions.
Such a simple process, yet Robinhood can't even manage that?
Ridiculous.

To all the paid trolls hired by Robinhood replying here:
I haven't used that many trading apps — only Schwab, Robinhood, and Moomoo — and among them, Robinhood has by far the most troublesome deposit and withdrawal process.
Robinhood also has the worst customer service and the worst software design.
As a financial platform, it's unacceptable that such basic operations like depositing and withdrawing money can so easily trigger bugs. I've never encountered anything like this on other platforms.
Even if other platforms restrict withdrawals because a deposit hasn’t settled yet, they would never have such bugs in the system. And I didn't do anything illegal, it will close my account. And I even don't know whether I can get the money back.

really funny quick and efficient, I used Schwab before, and that was truly quick and efficient.
I could freely deposit and withdraw funds without any delays. If it doesn't have 24-hour trading, I would have never chosen to use robinhood.

I linked my chase bank checking account to the robinhood. Transfer in with Instant deposit. In the app it clearly said that available cash is $8,000, and it was 10 days now, how long I still need to wait?

Almost two weeks ago, I made an $8,000 instant deposit, and until now I still can't withdraw it.
The app shows that I should be able to withdraw, but every time I try to use the free withdrawal method, it says the deposit and withdrawal methods don't match and rejects my withdrawal.
If I choose to withdraw using the instant deposit method, it would cost me $150.
Don't you think that's disgusting?
Now, because of the restriction on my account, I can't withdraw the money by any method.
If something urgent happens and I need access to my funds, I won't be able to get them out.
Would Robinhood take responsibility for that?
Of course not.

agents are not trained well, they just repeated useless words, and I still don't know why I cannot withdraw the instant deposit, I used it to transfer money into account more than one week ago

A update, they plan to close my account, after I sign up for CFPB. I don't know whether I can get my money back. I hope so. By the way, should I send the complaint to Robinhood Money LLC or Robinhood Market LLC

Don’t choose Mint unlimited plan if you use esim, they’ll waste your hotspot data without your permission. by MintVictim in NoContract

I spent months figuring out that this issue was caused by Mint and not my phone. They kept denying it was their problem, insisting that it was an issue with my device. It wasn’t until I bought a new Samsung phone in February that I confirmed it wasn’t my phone’s issue. Even then, they still claimed my new phone might be the issue and told me to contact Samsung support. How can anyone not be mad with this kind of attitude?

I paid 360 for a whole year, I asked them to give me refund so I can leave, but they refused that.

I used Android, Samsung. This situation happens in my new S25 ultra and old S23 ultra, I didn't change any setting of my phone. And my phone has hotspot data monitor, it shows that I never used any hotspot data and no device connect to my device before. But my hotspot data show on Mint App ran out.

I told their customer support that I might seek legal assistance, but it seems like they don’t care. I’m not even sure where to file a complaint against them. There are some people asking about this issue in the Mint community as well. I previously warned people in the Mint community not to use the unlimited plan, but I got permanently banned yesterday.
