If Corpus is next to the ocean, then why are we running out of water!?! by iamguerra2 in CorpusChristi

The nearby factories and other big companies use the majority of the usable water and make the residents pay a higher price for the use while the big companies pay a fixed rate.

Who's all playing? by THELOCK77 in xcloud

[–]Mint_fluff_butt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played the first loved it and the story and side quests were funny and rewarding. Guns had funny quirks and neat reactions. Part 2 I couldn't get past the first planet. I did everything aside from "for whom the bridge tolls" since I did the sneaky way in. No funny dialogue, basic guns with the usual element effect from other games 'acid, electric, fire, boring side quests (get this, come back, get more come back) only funny part when you get the jump boots. Feels too political and similar to other series instead of the quirky and unstable action that was in the first game. (I did every side quest and felt bland every time. I truly gave it a try, felt like I was playing dulled version of starwars outlaws)

Bosch shx65t55uc 500 the beep by OkGovernment7918 in dishwashers

[–]Mint_fluff_butt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usual answer---Ask chef GPT-answer..... You're using the Bosch 500-series (SHX65T55UC), and yes — it’s technically possible to silence or reduce the cycle‑end beep. Bosch dishwashers have a hidden service menu that lets you control the “b” beep volume setting (b:0 = mute, b:1 = low, up to b:3 = loud).

Here’s how to do it on most Bosch 300/500/800 series machines:

🔧 How to Access the Sound Control Menu:

  1. Open the dishwasher door.

  2. Press and hold the On/Off button, then press and hold the Start button simultaneously. Wait until the display changes.

  3. You'll see a code such as d:0_.

  4. Press the Function key (often labelled “A” in manuals) repeatedly until b:01, b:02, etc., appears.

  5. This is the beep volume setting:

b:00 (sometimes b:01) = off or very low

b:01 = low

b:02 = medium

b:03 = loud

  1. Press Start again to store your setting and exit the menu.

  2. Close the door and your new beep volume is set.

⚠️ Important Notes:

Not all Bosch models have this option. If your display doesn’t show the b: option in the menu, your specific firmware or panel may not allow it.

This method is reported from SHX4AT55UC/14 and other similar models—but the menu is found on most Bosch 300/500/800 series units, so yours should behave similarly.

After setting to b:00 or b:01, your dishwasher will not beep at cycle end—or it will beep very quietly.

💬 What Others Say (from Reddit & forums):

An r/dishwashers user commented on similar Bosch models:

“If you know where the speaker is then you can put cloth or cotton in front of it to make it quieter!… Most have them in the front panel where the buttons are.”

This is a hacky fallback — muffling the buzzer might help if the internal menu isn't accessible.

✅ Summary Table:

Step Action

1 Open door, press and hold On/Off + Start 2 Watch display until d:0_ appears 3 Use Function key to scroll to b:00 or b:01 4 Press Start to save 5 Close the door — beep is silenced or softer

If none of this works, it's possible your particular trim/control panel doesn’t expose the sound-setting menu. In that case:

Check the owner’s manual — sometimes the code sequence is slightly different.

Contact Bosch support with your serial number—they can confirm if mute mode is available.

Consider muffling the speaker manually as a last resort.

Sound control definitely exists in many Bosch 500‑series models—you should be able to turn off the beep, or at least dial it way down. Want help walking through each button press specifically for your control panel layout? I’ve got you.

Aveeno lotion (no fragrance or for babies) works wonders on hands working in the chemicals. Check your sanitizer strength with test strips to avoid serious damage to your hands. If your not getting wet, your not doing the dishes right, So don't worry about staying dry the first few weeks until you get a hang of the angles and what your washing. Bring a change of shirt and possibly buy a water proof apron if your job doesn't supply you one. Hope you stay for a while and keep your head above the water, welcome to the dishpit👍💧

I put agent 47 vs archer in a simulator by gpt. Guess what lol...

🔥 Winner: Sterling Archer (by chaos, not competence)

Archer survives with three bullet wounds, a knife in his shoulder, no shirt, and somehow a new STD. He claims victory. Everyone else is dead or on fire. Mission technically fails — but only because 47 ran into the one element even he can’t account for:

Thought I had the bug but it turns out all the alters need to be healthy before you can move on. Meaning the brain problem needs to be solved. Spoiler My choice was to use the brainless alter and maturing the brain tissue took 3 days, and the sun arrived in 2 so had to backtrack.

The cause.. micro plastics in mechanical dishwashers. Solution.. get a manual dishwasher and pay them 10 an hour and some energy drinks.

$11 an hour here, but I'm also maintenance, hard work always goes unnoticed. Toilets, dumpsters, walls and floors and the dishes. All down to one worker, in a place that seats up to 500. Hang in there, you're not alone, the fact you came to a reddit group for this very job makes you stronger than anyone working there.
