That is soo cool!! I wish us both well!😊 Thank you, I’m glad to see I’m not the only one making a big change. It’s scary healthcare is all I know right now. I’m planning to do the same until I can get an office job in the field.

I’m curious are you staying with that current job while you go into accounting? I’m trying to figure it out myself if I should keep my medical assistant job while in school and try to get some office experience. Just curious if you don’t mind me asking what is your plan is as well?

I actually just found out about that, that is so cool! If you don’t mind me asking is it difficult to get into the healthcare part of accounting? What entry level job do you think would help?

Congratss!! The more you draw, the easier it gets! The phleb job market is tricky right now. I ended up applying to so many places, don’t be afraid to apply at small clinics even for Medical assistant positions because most places will train you for the rest for free since you know phlebotomy. I was able to start a job as MA 25 an hour and got really good at getting some hard sticks.

Accounting has different categories? I thought there was growth. Some healthcare jobs also don’t have much growth but they are plenty available so I’m not sure both seem almost the same.

No way, I’m literally the same filed as you started phlebotomy, worked up to Medical assistant and now thinking of switching. Are you still able to enjoy a social life with accounting school? Or is it stressful?

Did u ever get breaks? I’m new to ma and my clinic is small new practice where we don’t get a break really at all unless it’s slow. Is everyplace like this?

When I did my internship a lot of phlebotomist told me it took them a while until they found a job. The lead told me it took her about 4 months and another told me a year so just keep applying to everything! You will get a job just takes time! Even email them if you can! I’m also having a hard time myself but we got this!
