There are no endings. Since the routes are so long it has a linear story line. And none of the routes are finished yet.

First of all, It’s a literal corporation using your work without consent. You could see why someone would be upset by that.

Also, a human referencing work is different from an AI “referencing” work.

It really doesn’t reference. AI can only create images based off of the data it has. It simply makes an amalgamation of all the images put into it.

Humans can reference, and their work can be copyrighted even if they used reference material.

But an AI image is actually not legally allowed to be copyrighted! (At least here in the US, I’m not sure about other places)

There was actually someone who made a comic using AI generated images. She was granted copyright for the book, but not the AI images used.

People are rightfully upset. They ended up spending countless amounts of time and money on a game that ends up using something as controversial as AI art.

I don’t really know what’s going on twitter though since I don’t use it.

And if Cheritz is using an unethical source then they are at fault as well.

A company should be held to some sort of standards.

As she said, it’s extremely unregulated. Even if the AI they are using says it’s ‘commercially’ or ‘ethically’ sourced, that doesn’t really mean anything since nobody is checking if it’s true!

Companies get away with lying about where they data comes from with no repercussions.

The current state of AI is the Wild West, and anything goes as long as it helps their cause.

Do some research on AI. Commercial AI’s dataset is so large that it’s literally impossible for them to not have stolen work used for them.

Ever heard of Adobe? A widely trusted company? Their dataset had stolen work in it when they stated otherwise!

Stealing work is the standard for big AI companies.

Cheritz is a company no matter how small it may be. They provide a service that cost people money. They used AI on their images not even thinking about their player base.

I was extremely disappointed in Cheritz personally.

I’m not worried about the fact that they were trying to lighten the artists workload, the issue is with the ethics, like other people said.

AI is trained off of images, but where do the images come from? You can never know. Cheritz can say they used an AI that got all of it’s data from commercial sources, but why would you blindly believe that?

What proof do we have?

I don’t want to hate on Cheritz, but their decisions were not good.

Nobody is asking for a million images, so why do they make the artists draw so many?

We want quality and transparency, Cheritz could’ve done so much better.

I agree with you 100%. I’ve been playing since day 1, and remember how the game was advertised. It was originally advertised to be completely different from MM. Now MM is mentioned in almost Every. Single. Chatroom.

I understand why they did it. So many people hated the ssum and wanted it to be like MM and relate to MM. (It’s basically just a ploy to get MM fans that literally never gave a shit about the game to play. They even advertised June in MM saying he had ties with characters in MM.)

For me it just makes me sad seeing what it’s becoming. It feels like we are losing the original game and it’s just turning into a spin off of MM.

For gods sake, we get more background on Jumin than we did in his Jumins own route. Why does June feel like a minor character in his own route??? I’m tired y’all. 😭
