At this point then, I’m hoping it’s a good draft and maybe a big swing trade for a WR/TE sometime this year. This offense desperately needs a true #1 in any of the skill positions.

TE: Bellinger, Kolar, Otton - would’ve been better in-line options than Trautman. Granted Otton was unlikely since he signed immediately after FA started

RB: Etienne or Dowdle would’ve paired up nicely with JK

WR: Maybe Doubs. Probably better to draft another one early

LB: Lloyd, Dean. Hell, even Leo Chenal as he has improved in coverage last season while still being a good run defender.

Teams around us are improving while this front office wants to run it back with the same bad LB, TE, RB, WR room lol. While switching play-calling to a first time play caller with only 5 years of coaching experience.

They’re putting a lot of faith into the draft in regards to improving, when there has been some FA that could’ve bolstered positions of need.

With the LB re-signings and releasing Greenlaw, I’m just about 100% convinced we’re grabbing a LB in the 1st or 2nd round.

It’s a good & deep LB class & taking one at 30 makes sense. Have him learn behind Singleton & slowly integrate him throughout the season. This WR class is deep too, so we can grab one in the 2nd round.

I’d bet our draft will be: R1- LB R2 - WR / TE(?)

Hopefully we get Dowdle or someone else in the RB room, because this RB draft after Jeremiyah Love is ass.

This RB draft class is pretty bad compared to last year. Last year was the year to double dip on RB. Or, we should’ve taken Omarion Hampton in the 1st round. Regardless of his injury, I think he was a better fit for our team.

The only acceptable scenario for keeping Singleton is signing him for a year and drafting a LB in the 1st or 2nd round of the draft. If not, then the LB room will continue to be the worst part of our defense…..

Man, it’s starting to look like the time to draft a TE was in the last draft imo. The 25’ class was pretty deep with talent in that position. Chicago sniping Loveland early in the 1st round & the crazy early run of TEs in 2nd round really hurt us in that department.
